One of Sussex’s most iconic gems, Brighton is a living, breathing juxtaposition of historical and modern, traditional and quirky. Even George IV was well aware of its charms having fallen in love with the place and had his holiday home built there in the 18th century – The Royal Pavilion. This hotel is situated in the heart of one of the UK’s most iconic seaside towns, which coupled with its classic Victorian elegance makes it a wonderfully romantic setting for one of the biggest days of your life. Found right on the seafront it offers you an iconic backdrop from ceremony to celebrations. The venue also offers its couples a menu tasting for two as well as a complimentary bedroom on the night of the wedding.

The hotel is licensed for ceremonies and offers three function suites suitable for your whole day. The Clarence Suite has space for up to 180 guests. Impressive and recently refurbished, it was originally built in 1819 as a chapel in the grounds of the hotel. It boasts a high vaulted-barrel ceiling with three grand central chandeliers.

The Regency Suite can accommodate 250 guests. A spacious room it offers the ideal setting for larger weddings. Conveniently located off the main foyer, it also has an adjoining suite, which is the ideal spot for postvow reception drinks.

Finally, the Ambassador Suite, which can play host to 100 nearest and dearest. Also recently refurbished, it can be found off the main foyer and boasts an arched ceiling incorporating a central dome feature. It too has an adjoining room, ideal for use as a guest reception area.

The original palace by the sea, The Grand Brighton was built as a retreat for the London set. Boasting Victorian splendour, stunning architecture and sea views, it mixes sumptuous renaissance-style décor with statement furniture and glossy Art Deco-inspired accents.

An iconic Victorian property, the hotel takes centre stage on Brighton’s famous seafront, mere minutes from the pier. Its sea-facing facade has undergone restoration within recent years and now stands proud with new windows, restored balconies, new balcony furniture and rendering, further stamping its mark as a renowned local landmark.

When booking for 50 or more guests on the hotel’s wedding package, a complimentary stay in a deluxe sea view bedroom inclusive of breakfast and valet parking on the wedding day is included, as well as a menu tasting.

The fully-licensed private event rooms can accommodate anything from intimate gatherings to banquets for 500 guests. The traditional, wood-panelled Regent Room is ideal for smaller ceremonies of around 50 nearest and dearest, and is situated on the ground floor beneath the showstopping Victorian staircase. This room is also ideal for a wedding breakfast for up to 60 or post-ceremony drinks.

The Consort Room, also to be found on the ground floor, is ideal for ceremonies witnessed by 50 guests and can also be hired for a small wedding breakfast for up to 60 nearest and dearest. The space is also licensed for intimate evening celebrations with a DJ until midnight.

The Albert Suite is a beautifully appointed room suitable for ceremonies of between 50 and 100 guests. Its striking navy décor with white detailing highlights the architecture of this, the hotel’s original ballroom. Classicmeets-contemporary with the backdrop of the sea making a wonderful setting for the wedding breakfast for anywhere between 50 to 120 guests.

Finally, the Empress Suite is extremely flexible and can be used as one open space for up to 500 or divided into four separate interflowing suites for weddings of 120+. The classic design here helps to complement a wide range of themes and palettes. The area is also available as a dryhire venue to include use of kitchen space.
