The impressive approach to this venue is along a private drive leading the 30 acres running alongside the River Thames. The beautiful white Grade II listed building with a portico entrance takes centre stage in the heart of these grounds decorated with wisteria and magnolia. The rolling lawns, flower-filled sunken and secret gardens and the riverside terrace all command a waterside backdrop.
The elegant interior is home to sweeping staircases, decorative pillars, elegant panelling and magnificent architecture. Each reception room within the main house offers something individual which adds to the inspirational interiors. There are 100 double en suite bedrooms in total with reduced rates offered for wedding guests. The happy couple will receive a complimentary overnight stay, a bottle of champagne and a basket of fruit.
Ceremonies take place in the Garden Common Room revealing unique hand-painted décor or the River House for up to 120 guests, and more intimate gatherings of up to 60 loved ones are best suited to the Blue Room.
Receptions take place in The Heyworth Restaurant which opens on to the terrace and overlooks the main lawn cascading down to the river. This stylish space has room for up to 120 guests seated for a wedding breakfast and the evening reception can take place here. There’s also the option of erecting a marquee down on the riverbank and fireworks are permitted within the grounds using the venue’s preferred suppliers.

Set in the riverside village of Hurley between Marlow and Henley is this 13th-century, Grade II listed medieval barn offering a special venue for ceremonies, wedding receptions and parties. It’s licensed for up to 150 guests for ceremonies and can seat up to 150 loved ones for the reception. It boasts a separate dancefloor, bar area and manicured lawn that’s perfect for a drinks reception during the summer months. Couples can create a bespoke day with their choice of caterer, florist and furnishings and the venue can be styled to suit any theme.

This new barn destination, located within 120 acres of stunning rolling grounds in Donnington Valley, has been built to the highest specifications made using traditional English oak with contemporary limestone tiles. Situated in the grounds of a 17th Century Farmhouse, Winters Tale Country Barn can seat up to 120 guests for your wedding breakfast and accommodate an additional 80 guests in the evening. Licensed for Civil Ceremonies with a choice of locations in the main hall or in the quiet country gardens. The barn has many features including twinkling fairy lights, a high vaulted and heavily beamed ceiling, a well stocked bar on the ground floor and a cocktail bar on the gallery above. Adjacent to the barn is a large silk-lined marquee with chandeliers and festoon lighting. New for 2021/2022 is a Secret Garden for photo shoots with a water feature, bridal swing and more... WASING ESTATE, ALDERMASTON, BERKSHIRE
Wasing Park is an award-winning, exclusive-use wedding venue situated on a 4,000-acre estate in the beautiful Berkshire countryside offering outstanding facilities in a quintessentially English setting. The historic buildings boast more than 250 years of history and the walled gardens and picturesque lakes provide a romantic photographic backdrop.

WOOLLEY PARK (ON THE WOOLLEY ESTATE), OXFORDSHIRE
This historic house set in amongst the formal lawns with extensive views of the parkland and valley below boasts a selection of grand opulent rooms with a feature staircase which is the ideal spot to have big-day photographs taken. The elegant Drawing Room, designed in 1841, features large mirrors and gold gilding to replicate a French salon.
The main marquee area is across a small bridge from the house surrounded by a pretty walled garden, perfect for hosting smaller weddings. It was traditionally used for growing vegetables for the main house and is now completely enclosed and private with pergolas, arches, tree-lined avenues and floral borders. Guest accommodation is also available here in either a modern cabin or traditional potting shed.
Another outdoor option for a celebrant-led ceremony is the woodland clearing where an unlimited number of guests can gather. Receptions, like celebrant-led ceremonies, can take place anywhere across the estate for an unlimited number outside, and up to 30 loved ones inside although the most popular location is in the park in front of the house. This features the backdrop of the house on one side and trees around the others. There’s also the Cowleaze perched on top of a hill next to the woodland area with views across to the nearby villages.

This mansion house hotel, part of the De Vere portfolio of country estate hotels and event destinations, sits in 250 acres of parkland and recently enjoyed a £20million refurbishment that saw the renovation of an additional 37 luxury bedrooms, the introduction of a golf driving range and the complete renovation of its modern event destination, Wokefield Place.
Offering 87 luxury guest rooms in the Mansion House, and a further 289 bedrooms in Wokefield Place and Wellington Lodge, each one showcases luxurious, distinctly British interiors blending a heritage colour palette of muted greens, greys, taupe and cream with contemporary fixtures and fittings to create spaces that are restful and calming.
