Summer vibes
This issue, there has been so much going on in the world and no, I’m not talking about the pandemic! Although on the topic of our Prime Minister Boris Johnson, he got married to his bride, Carrie Symonds, who rented her Christos Costarellos wedding dress - would you, or wouldn’t you, rent yours?
Singer Ariana Grande caused an Instagram frenzy recently when she married at her home, coining the term ‘ceremini’ that’s inspired our hot topic feature this issue.
We’ve got plenty of ideas for a staycation summer spent wedding planning now that restrictions have lifted, from a llama-shaped piñata holding wedding rings to a new covered terrace with a floating stretch tent at exclusive-use Berkshire wedding venue Wasing Park.
There’s also fun fashion, big-day beauty and ideas for your honeymoon so enjoy the issue! Claire x
Claire Ridley, Editor I love the wonderful details and tipi backdrop shown in our Festival fun shoot on page 51, photographed by www.dorianedescamps.com
Turn to page 13 to enjoy our exclusive offer with Little Ideas. Designer Rosalind Norton is offering readers 10% off these stunning paper bridal bouquets – a keepsake to be cherished for a lifetime.
I adore this idea of having a llama-shaped piñata holding the wedding rings during the ceremony, as seen in our exclusive Party people shoot on page 45. It was caught on camera by the talented www.stonephotos.co.uk
How stunning is the new floating stretch tent over the covered terrace at Wasing Park in Berkshire, captured here by www.studiorouge.co? I was thrilled to visit the venue recently to see all the latest developments. Turn to page nine to read all about it. How atmospheric is this marquee lit up at night? The beauty of hiring a structure from Husk Marquees is that the location is flexible. Turn to page 21 to read more.
On the topic of waterside settings, the stunning Monk’s Barn located in Hurley, Berkshire, offers a dreamy choice of venue.
Jodie and Michael’s wedding at Oakley Court in Windsor took place on the same day as HRH Prince Phillip’s funeral, resulting in an impromptu news appearance! Turn to page 28 to read all about it and see the wonderful images taken by www.paul-daviesphotography.co.uk
An independent florist located in the Chiltern Hills, creating flowers for everyday, weddings and events! We love working with every couple to create the wedding of their dreams, it’s amazing to be part of such a special day.
