WYCOMBE MUSEUM, HIGH WYCOMBE
This local history museum located in Castle Hill House and Gardens is a hidden gem located in a calm oasis just a few minutes walk from the town centre where couples can tie the knot in one of five licensed spaces. The front garden features extensive grounds, perfect for an outdoor summer ceremony, that are overlooked by the entrance hall, spacious café lounge bar and ground-floor Chilterns Gallery. There are plenty of outdoor seating options outside, close to the main building, and many photogenic areas on the grounds for guests to explore. An informal canopy marquee makes a great cover from May to September which comes as a basic structure with attachable sides and two window walls revealing views of the grounds (additional marquees are also permitted.)
The museum provides a unique backdrop with the galleries open during the wedding afternoon for guests to visit. The largest licensed ceremony room, The Old Stables, is located in the outbuilding, a brick and flint original stable building with a high-beamed ceiling and neutral internal décor. It can host up to 76 guests and leads out on to the pretty courtyard. Alternatively, The Chilterns Gallery, featuring sash windows, an original fireplace and tasteful decoration with art nouveau-inspired wallpaper and matching olive-coloured walls has a maximum capacity of up to 26 guests for intimate ceremonies.
Receptions take place in The Old Stables and The Coach House which together create a great space for dining and evening receptions, both with hard floors for dancing. The Courtyard is the ideal area for a rustic pallet bar or mobile caterers to set up and the marquee in the front garden is also a great option for a reception.

NOTLEY TYTHE BARN, AYLESBURY
Perched in picturesque rural grounds in the Chiltern Hills sits this lovingly restored, historic 12th-century barn boasting a beam-rafted roof and a white-washed hall and gallery, the perfect backdrop for many different big-day themes. The talented team at this family-run wedding venue can provide a complete hosting service, planning every detail for the ceremony, seating, music, and catering.
The beautiful barn can seat up to 140 guests while a permanent marquee can accommodate another 60 people. The doors of the barn open directly on to the manicured garden that has been redesigned by Steven Hendry, a Chelsea Gold Medal-winning landscape architect. There’s a cocktail and canapé lawn plus a recreational lawn where children can run and play safely. A larger marquee can be placed here to accommodate up to 250 guests in total.

THE PAVILION, HIGH WYCOMBE
The Pavilion is tucked away in 26 acres of picturesque countryside in the Chiltern Hills, offering a versatile venue for indoor nuptials and also The Garden Gazebo, a licensed al fresco choice.
The Pavilion, with its tall ceilings and wall-to-wall windows, features large French doors opening on to a private terrace that faces The Garden Gazebo, showcasing panoramic views of the surrounding grounds. It can accommodate up to 120 loved ones for a wedding breakfast and up to 180 guests for the evening reception but is equally well-suited to smaller, more intimate celebrations.

If the Great British weather isn’t forecast to be good, The Pavilion is always kept as an indoor alternative should it change at the last minute because the venue only hosts one wedding per day and offers exclusive use. Another alternative is The Lodge Conservatory that can host up to 70 guests for a ceremony.

ASCOT RACECOURSE
