UPCYCLED VINTAGE FURNITURE

Serenlilly wedding and event hire based in Berkshire offer a variety of handmade props purchased from suppliers around the UK to hire for weddings. Owner Shirley Crehan has just unveiled this upcycled, hand-painted vintage dressing table available to use as a dessert table. It was photographed as part of a recent photo shoot in the barn at Buckinghamshire wedding venue Rackleys Chiltern Hills (https://rackleys.co.uk) and captured on camera by the talented Cotswoldsbased Steph Kiely Photography (www.stephkielyphotography.co.uk). The mouth-watering cakes and desserts were hand-crafted by Kakes by Kiri located in Marlow (www.facebook.com/pg/kakesbykiri) and the table was topped with a hand-finished floral arrangement by Bicester-based Signature Flowers (https://signature-flowers.co.uk). Thames Valley Air Ambulance has launched a new range of wedding favours for couples who want their guests’ gifts to have a potentially lifesaving impact. They consist of an attractive place setting made of plantable paper, carrying the sweet message ‘let love blossom’. Guests can plant the paper after the wedding to have a beautiful wildflower posy to remember the special day by. A small helicopter pin badge is also attached, as a nod to the charity’s vital work on the frontline of saving lives.
