MEOLS HALL TITHE BARN

The Tithe Barn is situated among the grounds of the 12th-century Meols Hall in the pretty village of Churchtown. The Barn is full of rustic charm and has been sympathetically restored by local craftsmen using traditional methods.

Also on site is the tastefully restored original coach house with its large French doors, which open out onto the picturesque traditional cobbled courtyard, with Shepherds Hut bar, heated parasol, patio tables, chairs and outdoor lanterns. This makes an ideal year-round outdoor/indoor venue for entertaining guests, as well as a great place to relax and enjoy welcome drinks and canapés. THE “I DOS” Ceremonies take place in the Tithe Barn accompanied by a minimum of 50 and maximum of 120 guests. The 400-year-old candlelit Barn has a special atmosphere making for a romantic ceremony space.

THE CELEBRATIONS Wedding breakfasts too take place in the Tithe Barn for 50 to 120 loved ones. Capacity for the evening do increases to 150.

PLUS… The venue can provide a complete package of catering, bar service, master of ceremonies and entertainment.

MARITIME MUSEUM

Located in the heart of the historical Royal Albert Dock, Maritime Museum tells the story of one of the world’s greatest ports. From the large HMS Conway anchor at the building’s entrance to the ship models in the spacious galleries, the Grade I listed Museum forms a unique part of Liverpool’s history and offers an iconic place to get married.

THE “I DOS” The Maritime Dining Room is a flexible, private space with high ceilings and stunning views over the Royal Albert Dock and Pier Head. You can tie the knot here witnessed by 200 loved ones. THE CELEBRATIONS The Maritime Museum Events Suite features stylish exposed brick walls and large windows complete with views of the Royal Albert Dock and Liverpool Waterfront. It boasts high ceilings and a flexible, private space for celebrations accompanied by 200 guests.

Overlooking one of the largest groups of Grade I listed buildings in England, the Museum offers an impressive outdoor space on the waterside colonnades. It’s an ideal area to enjoy drinks receptions, evening buffets and barbecues. This space too can accommodate 200 of your nearest and dearest.

PECKFORTON CASTLE

An enchanting castle, steeped in history, Peckforton will delight you and your guests. The exclusive-use venue offers a magical backdrop for the all-important photos, combined with delicious, award-winning food and drink, ensuring your big-day is a true fairy tale.

THE “I DOS” The magnificent Great Hall, which can host ceremonies with 165 loved ones offers a warmly romantic setting complete with original Minton Hollins tiled floor. The Drawing Room can also accommodate 165 and is the largest of the Castle’s function rooms.

Meanwhile, the Chapel is the perfect place for a religious blessing or renewal of vows (not available for civil ceremonies) and the local minister will be happy to officiate. There’s space here for 100 loved ones.

For more intimate “I dos,” The Hexagonal Room (80 guests), The Wine Cellar (40 guests), and The Library (30 guests) are also an option. THE CELEBRATIONS For large capacities The Drawing Room (165 guests) and Great Hall (120 guests) are available once more for your reception. For smaller guest lists, The Hexagonal Room can host 80 and among its striking features is the Tollmache family grace, engraved into the vaulted stone ceiling: “At dinner and supper, morning and night, give thanks unto God for his gifts.”

For the same numbers, The Wine Cellar allows you to absorb the Castle’s history with its grey-stone walls enveloping you in an atmosphere of wistful romance. And finally, The Library where booklined walls add to the ambience, can seat 30.

PLUS… The venue benefits from an onsite lodge, which is ideal for a night in with nearest and dearest before the big day. Menu tastings are also offered and all packages include use of the bridal suite for the wedding night.

THE “I DOS” You can exchange your vows in the Stucco Ballroom with its beautiful gold leaf encrusted ceiling, witnessed by 132 loved ones; or more intimately in the Walnut Drawing Room, which overlooks the lake.

THE CELEBRATIONS The impressive State Dining Room, hung with family portraits and an antique gold chandelier, can host wedding breakfasts for 132 guests. You can then move through to the Stucco Ballroom for the evening bash with your loved ones. The Walnut Drawing Room is also available once more for your reception drinks and as a relaxing chill space away from the mayhem of the dancefloor.

TALHENBONT HALL

Talhenbont Hall is a family-owned estate nestled in the Welsh countryside on the Llyn Peninsula and built in 1607, it’s steeped in history. The Hall was built by William Vaughan as a wedding present for his new wife, Ann.

The stunning grounds feature an ancient woodland and formal gardens, which you’ll have exclusive use of. The River Dwyfach runs through the estate and there’s even a tennis court on site. What’s more, you’re only two miles from the sea here.

THE “I DOS” You have the choice of several locations for your ceremony. The Vaughan Room, situated in the Elizabethan manor house can host 50 of your nearest and dearest. For slightly larger numbers, Cromwell Hall boasting original beams and an original Minton floor can host 70. The Grade II listed Coach House with its original features and modern twists can accommodate 150 loved ones for the “I dos.”

Finally, for al fresco vows there’s the pergoda overlooking the ancient woodland and the River Dwyfach. The seating is amphitheatre-style giving your guests a fantastic view.

THE CELEBRATIONS Perfect for intimate celebrations, the Vaughan Room can host 30 for a wedding breakfast. It’s a muted room with a beautiful fireplace, meanwhile the historical Cromwell Hall can accommodate 70 for the reception. For a bigger bash, there’s space in the Coach House for 150 (200 for the evening). A gorgeous place to host your wedding breakfast, it boasts magnificent chandeliers and bi-fold windows looking out over the ancient woodland. It also features a bar hand-built by the owner using wood from the estate.

PLUS… The estate also features five charming cottages, where there’s sleeping accommodation for 42 with plenty more available locally for further guests. The beautiful bridal suite is located in the manor house, and boasts a freestanding bath and four-poster bed.
