This recently renovated farm barn, blessed with breathtaking views, is situated in the rural Cheshire countryside. The interior has been finished to the highest standard while maintaining a relaxed and rustic atmosphere. A highlight is the huge statement windows, which allow you to make the most of those views.

There’s an option both for an indoor or outdoor ceremony here. The indoor Ceremony Room is sectioned off from the main barn by hessian curtains. It offers quirky seating in the form of hay bales and boasts a set of French doors that allow you to exchange vows in front of the surrounding vista. It can host 150 loved ones. Before moving on to the wedding breakfast, you and your guests can enjoy a glass of fizz and some canapés on the outdoor decking area. Alternatively, say “I do” on the decking, which again offers spectacular views. This area is set up with wooden chairs and can seat 180.

Receptions take place in the main barn. A versatile space, it’s ideal for any wedding from small and intimate to larger affairs. Think wagon wheel chandelier-lights, hay bales, a long bar made from wooden pallets and a space flooded with natural light. It can accommodate 200 for the wedding breakfast and 220 for the evening bash. What’s more, a wedding coordinator is included in the venue hire.

DOVE BARN

Situated in the heart of Cheshire, near Knutsford, Dove Barn is a characterful country wedding barn bursting with original features. With large lawned areas, patios, garden furniture, ample space for games and activities, and exclusive use, you’ll be able to enjoy the best of the indoors and outdoors throughout the day. You’ll have the company of the venue’s sheep and chickens grazing in the nearby paddock too, so be sure to say “hi” and perhaps even capture some memorable photographs.

The Meadow Room can seat 100 loved ones for your “I dos.” It’s a charming room benefiting from plenty of natural light with rustic character, wooden cladding and views across the meadow. As husband and wife, you’ll then move on to the Main Reception Hall with your guests. This is a light and spacious spot with natural wood cladding, chandeliers and festoon lighting. The grand double doors open out to reveal stunning views of the surrounding fields and woodland. There’s room for 120 nearest and dearest for the wedding breakfast.

The venue hosts only one wedding per weekend, the beauty of which is that there’s time for your preparations and decorations the day before the main event. Plus, as a family-run affair, the team is always on had to help and advise. There’s also farmhouse accommodation available on site.

MEOLS HALL TITHE BARN

The Tithe Barn is situated amongst the stunning grounds of Meols Hall, Southport’s historical manor house, which dates back to the 12th century. Full of rustic charm it has been sympathetically restored by local craftsmen using traditional methods, and features a gorgeous open-beamed ceiling. This 400-year-old candlelit space has a wonderful warm atmosphere fit for a romantic wedding.

Alongside the barn is the tastefully resorted original Coach House, with large French doors opening out onto the picturesque cobbled courtyard complete with patio tables, chairs and lanterns, making this an ideal yearround outdoor/indoor venue for entertaining your nearest and dearest. It’s a lovely place for guests to relax and enjoy welcome drinks, and maybe even a selection of delicious canapés while you head off to have your photographs taken.

Ceremonies take place in the Tithe Barn with a minimum of 50 and maximum of 120 guests, the same numbers also apply to a wedding breakfast hosted here. Later on you can invite an extra 30 loved ones to join you for the evening do. What’s more, the venue can provide a complete package of catering, bar service, master of ceremonies and entertainment.

THE BARN AT YEW TREE FARM

Set on the rural outskirts of Liverpool in the Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley, The Barn at Yew Tree Farm is a family-run working farm sitting amongst 25 acres of countryside. Through the large windows you’ll see working farmyard and lush green fields where alpacas and sheep graze. It has its own private lawned area where you and your guests can enjoy a drink or two and relax in the evening sun. The farm also provides an array of rustic and industrial backdrops as well as vast open spaces, all ideal settings for those all-important photographs.

You have a choice of two gorgeous locations for your ceremony. Meadow Barn can host 80 guests. This 300-year-old renovated barn boasts high ceilings, exposed brick work and original wooden beams. On the other hand, there’s the more intimate Orchard Room with space for 20 loved ones. It’s closed off by grand wooden barn doors while you exchange your vows, plus a large bifold door, leading into the private garden, can be fully open should you choose.

Celebrations take place in the Meadow Barn where there’s ample space for 80 loved ones to be seated at round tables for the wedding breakfast or at charming wooden trestles for a banqueting-style feast. The wooden barn doors open up allowing the space to flow through to the Orchard Room and the spacious bar. Then for the evening do you can welcome 140 guests in total. The mezzanine is also a fab feature offering a great view of proceedings for guests and photographers alike.
