Surrounded by expansive gardens, South Farm is a family-run venue nestled in 20 acres of countryside. The beautiful gardens and rustic wildflower meadows create the perfect setting for wedding celebrations and memorable photographs to treasure.

The venue’s romantic spaces offer couples an enchanting choice of ceremony and reception locations. The welcoming Tudor Barn is the largest indoor space with a capacity of up to 180 people, while The Drawing Room is a more intimate area for cosy winter ceremonies with 35 loved ones. Or why not opt for The Old Dairy, a lovely space with views of the courtyard and garden terrace for 100 guests? One of most recently converted space is The Horse Barn, which offers a special ambience with stunning lighting and ancient beams for up to 65 people. If the British weather allows it, The Summer House is a truly magical setting for ceremonies between March and October with views overlooking the gardens. Indoor drinks receptions occur in The Old Dairy for 150 loved ones or the Grade II listed farmhouse for 50.

Receptions can take place in the gardens for 180 people, weather permitting, or in the Tudor Barn with 146 guests for a formal wedding breakfast or 122 for buffet-style meal and 200 guests in the evenings. The Horse Barn is adjacent to this space and offers an additional dancing area or it can be used as a comfortable snug setting.

Guest accommodation includes charming bespoke bedrooms, five Romany wagons or camping in the paddocks is available for more adventurous people! Three additional bedrooms are available at the venue’s nearby sister property, Fen Bridge Farm. The luxurious Coach House Suite is complimentary for couples on their wedding day.

All nearlyweds booking a bespoke South Farm wedding are invited to a complimentary menu tasting evening where they can see, taste and rate more than 40 signature dishes and visit the five-star kitchen. The venue also offers a range of affordable wedding day packages for those who have a budget in mind.

Or why not opt for the Grand Barn’s upper level? This main space can accommodate 180 loved ones for the “I dos” and 80 for wedding breakfasts. Continue the celebrations in the main barn with 130 seated guests and 300 for the evenings.

The late 16th-century barn offers a beautiful blank canvas to allow couples to transform the area to match any colour scheme or theme. Inside, guests will find vaulted ceilings adorned with rustic-wooden beams. Spilling out from the barn, guests will discover the enchanting gardens packed with endless hidden gems and secret corners – it’s the perfect backdrop for wedding photography. Lovebirds can host their wedding day under one roof or use the venue for wedding breakfasts with 150 loved ones and receptions with 200. Nestled in the Hertfordshire countryside, just 25 miles from London, Micklefield Hall is a stunning country venue steeped in history.

The dedicated team of groundsmen ensure the gardens are maintained to a high standard. The estate has a variety of private outdoor areas for celebrations, including the herbaceous garden with a fountain, a secret rose garden, rolling lawns and a French terrace complete with trickling fountains and an open fire. All the flowers, bushes, and trees have been carefully selected to ensure that the grounds are bursting with colour no matter the time of year.

Tie the knot in the Temple nestled under the great oak tree, which overlooks the glimmering pond. The area provides the most magical and romantic space to get married. All 200 guests will be seated around the pond’s banks and shaded from the sun by the 450-year-old oak tree. Lovebirds can make their grand entrance along with nature’s very own herbaceous aisle and down the stone steps before entering the sculptured Temple. The space is equipped with a discreet audio system to ensure all guests hear the vows.

Another option is the marquee, which overlooks the French Courtyard, Garden Room and The Great Barn’s patio. The space is carpeted, heated and adorned with grand drapes and chandeliers for 200 people to enjoy.

The main lawn is perfect for 200 loved ones in summer, with plenty of space on the manicured grass. The chuppahs and mandaps look stunning in front of the views extending to north London. The upper lawns are also licensed for civil ceremonies.

Lovebirds can also tie the knot in the Garden Room with 80 people in front of the grand fireplace. The space is also used as a chill-out area and covered drinks area in the evenings.

The traditionally restored Tithe Barn is perfect for exchanging vows, wedding breakfasts, celebrations, corporate events and product launches. This all-inclusive space is perfect for weddings with a heated solid oak floor, sophisticated lighting, air conditioning, a dancefloor, stage and adjoining bar area. The luxurious space can hold up to 200 guests and can be laid out in many formats to suit different needs.
