The Grims Dyke Hotel is set in 40 acres of beautiful woodland and formal gardens. Located just 12 miles from central London the Grade II listed hotel is steeped in heritage and tradition and offers a relaxing oasis for your nuptials. The gardens have a rich history initiated by Victorian artist Frederick Goodall and then extended and enhanced by Sir William and Lady Gilbert. If you’re looking to tie the knot in a relaxed traditional pub setting, look no further than The Prince Albert. This rustic pub with vintage décor is the perfect blank canvas with dark wood wall panels and flooring throughout. Little hints of fun are showcased throughout such as flower walls, galvanised steel antique bathtubs suspended from the ceiling and old maps that could lead you to your treasure. Outside, the façade’s swathed in emerald green and beige tiles, large stained-glass windows encompass the front and side of the pub and hanging baskets provide a warm welcome.
Guests can spill out into the cosy garden. Its perennial hedging, ancient oak tree, stone flooring and wooden fencing gives it a natural feel with neutral colours. The large umbrella spanning the garden and the inbuilt heaters are ideal for the chilly months and a barbeque can be set up for more casual events.
You can choose the hire the main pub on the ground floor that accommodates 40 seated guests or 110 standing or the first-floor function room, with its separate bar, white walls and large sash windows accommodates 80 seated and 100 standing.

The impressive Grade II listed Islington Town Hall, with its grand façade and colourful displays of flowers, is a real focal point of Upper Street, home to an endless choice of reception venues all within easy reach. On arrival, friends and family can gather in the courtyard garden at the front of the building before the ceremony, and the main steps are perfect for them to greet you with confetti as you leave.
At the top of the Town Hall’s impressive sweeping marble staircase, you enter the grand ceremony room that is the Council Chamber. The room features an original vaulted ceiling, beautiful stained-glass windows, and is decorated with fresh flowers. The horseshoe seating layout ensures that none of your guests will be more than five rows from you, and although it seats 50 guests, it retains the intimate atmosphere.
When it comes to your photos, the backstreets of Islington are picturesque and charming, with many beautiful small parks, the historic Camden Passage and Regents’ Canal all being nearby.
