WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? Located just one mile from Sheffield city centre in 12 acres of peaceful parkland sits Kenwood Hall. With its own lake and idyllic gardens, it provides endless photo opportunities in any season.

Dating back to the 1800s, the original house is packed with period features and overlooks the grounds with a view of the city in the background. The modern extension provides lakeside vistas in a contemporary, versatile setting.

LET’S CELEBRATE! There are three locations available for ceremonies. The Terrace Room (50 guests) and Cutlers Room (70 guests) are located within the historic house, and offer high ceilings, chandeliers and ornate windows. For larger gatherings there’s the newly renovated Lakeview Restaurant (150 guests day and evening guests), which boasts changeable coloured lighting and a dancefloor. After tying the knot, newlyweds can also choose to enjoy the whole house (120 guests) for their evening celebrations.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? Set in 39 acres of beautiful grounds, Whirlow Brook Hall offers endless picture-perfect spots from the manicured lawns and pond to the areas of wildflowers and the sprawling woodland beyond. Built as a manor house in 1906, its elevated position provides a wow factor when guests arrive via the long driveway. Step inside, and it offers original features, such as the ornate fireplace, and neutral décor so couples can make the space their own. LET’S CELEBRATE! The all-important vows take place in the wood-panelled Oak Room (80 guests) or the light-filled Garden Suite (120). Receptions are also held here for 180 people, and guests are free to enjoy the private terrace overlooking the glorious grounds.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? Ideally located in a leafy Sheffield suburb, this modern hotel boasts a modest but beautiful garden, which is the perfect spot for arrival drinks and big-day photographs. With plenty of accommodation and excellent transport links, it’s ideally suited to wedding parties. The on-site spa is great for last-minute preparations, while the restaurant and lounge bar offer a place for relaxation the day before. LET’S CELEBRATE! There are a variety of function suites here, and both of the main suites have flexible dividing walls for all party sizes. After the formalities, receptions are held in two areas. The Hadfield Suite (100 guests) has its own bar and dancefloor and is contemporary in design with artwork inspired by the city’s steel-working heritage. The Devonshire Suite (336 day guests and 370 evening guests) is one of the largest event spaces in the areas, providing an air-conditioned suite flooded with natural daylight and a stylish neutral feel. Its bar, dancefloor and stage make it the perfect party option.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? A striking Victorian building situated on a 900-year-old man-made island, Kelham Island Museum boasts magnificent backdrops against the façade of the passing River Don. With unique buildings evoking the island’s industrial history, it beautifully combines steel-city heritage with an urban setting for a truly inspiring big day. The venue offers charming original features, striking spaces and museum galleries waiting to be explored, from the cobbled Little Mesters Street to the showstopping River Don Engine. Couples are spoiled for choice, whether they’re having an intimate do or a larger party. LET’S CELEBRATE! Celebrations can be held here for up to 200 ceremony guests and 250 reception guests. River Don Engine is the signature ceremony location, where vows are taken beside the most powerful working steam engine in Europe. Crucible Works’ listed chimney wall defines the room’s industrial Victorian character, while Town Guns is a historic spot at the heart of the museum.

Ideal for larger parties, the Upper Gallery charms with its high ceilings and original tiles. It’s ideal for couples to add their own personal touch to the space.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? With swathes of colourful meadows, an apothecary garden and lavender labyrinth, the Tudor grounds of this venue provide an idyllic country backdrop. At Manor Oaks House, the flower-filled garden offers the space for garden games and relaxing before the dancing commences and the campfire is lit. The 16th century Turret House provides an imposing backdrop with its stone façade and mini turret. Once hosting Mary Queen of Scots, it has a fantastic sense of history and is brimming with original features. The Georgian stone frontage of Manor Oaks House blends seamlessly with the barn extension. LET’S CELEBRATE! For those who wish to wed outside, The Tudor Turret House Doorway (100 guests) boasts the Turret House and meadows as a backdrop. The middle floor of the Turret House is the perfect setting for an intimate wedding of 25 guests, while Manor Oaks House provides rustic charm for up to 60 ceremony guests. This is also the spot for receptions, with up to 120 people enjoying celebrations under its twinkling fairylights.

WE LOVE… From wandering through wildflowers after the I dos to cosying up around the campfire as the sun sets, there are plenty of opportunities for pictureperfect moments. The team prides itself on allowing a DIY experience, while they take care of all the details.

Weston Park Museum
