WHAT TO EXPECT Whitley Hall is an ivy-clad, Yorkshire stone 16th century mansion, surrounded by stunning gardens and grounds with mature trees and two small lakes. The 20 acres of grounds are home to peacocks, Canada geese and mallards. Located just to the north of Sheffield, Whitley Hall is a short drive from Meadowhall shopping centre and offers a great base for exploring the magnificent Peak District National Park. The interior is full of character and rich in history from the moment you step inside. The Tudor architecture marries perfectly with contemporary design, giving you the opportunity to revel in a blend of 16th century splendour and 21st century luxury.
TIME TO CELEBRATE The Whitley Suite is an elegant room, new for 2020, been designed to create a space which is both stylish and functional whilst still retaining that ‘Whitley Hall charm’ for which the venue is renowned. This room can host up to 110 guests for a civil ceremony and wedding breakfast and up to 220 guests for your evening celebrations. With its wood-panelled walls, tasteful décor and a bank of windows which flood the space with natural daylight this room provides all you’ll need to create the wedding ceremony of your dreams.
The Parker Suite has undergone some major refurbishment in 2020 and it now has its own private heated terrace. With upgraded lighting, a new ceremony area and outdoor bar this room is in keeping with the hotel’s history but with a modern feel. Located to the rear of the house this suite is ideal for those looking for a more intimate wedding celebration.
Civil ceremonies for up to 60 guests take place overlooking the perfectly manicured courtyard followed by a drinks’ reception on the private heated terrace area. It also boasts its own lake and pier complete with a small bandstand area for idyllic photography.
WE LOVE In the original Parker Suite, there’s an original Yorkshire stone wall which has been there since the original Tudor house – it’s engraved with the date and name of the original owner of the house, William Parker, hence the name of the suite. The venue also has 32 bedrooms two of which are sumptuous four-poster suites.

WHAT TO EXPECT The Woodman Inn is a charming family-owned 18th century country inn with rooms, a well-stocked bar, fantastic menu and a reputation as one of west Yorkshire’s top wedding venues. Inn pub is just the right size for those more intimate affairs, perfectly accommodating numbers between 20-80 people.
Thunderbridge Gardens can accommodate 150 day guests and 200 night guests. Set in the tiny hamlet of Thunderbridge, a conservation area nestling in the foothills of the South Pennines, Thunderbridge Gardens provides a perfect picturesque backdrop for wedding photos and videos.

WHAT TO EXPECT The Arches is a spectacularly stylish industrial venue situated within the prestigious Dean Clough Mills site in central Halifax. Despite being a large venue, it’s easy to create a cosy feel at The Arches. The huge mill windows let in beautiful winter light. Candles in addition to the venue’s fairy light canopy create a real Winter Wonderland effect. WHAT TO EXPECT Yorebridge House is set in five acres of land on the edge of the River Ure, with beautiful gardens, and stunning scenery for miles. The garden is adorned with gorgeous garden furniture, parasols and a contemporary sail and is lit with festoon lights and fairy lit trees.

WHAT TO EXPECT Built between 1805 and 1825, Bowcliffe retains the stately atmosphere of a country house which is amassed in rich history. The key features of the building which dates to being owned by both George Lane Fox and then by Robert Blackburn showcase the history of Bowcliffe Hall.
The modern contrast is the multi-award-winning Blackburn Wing, a 2,000sqft treehouse shaped like an airplane wing and nestled in ancient woodland. Designed and built with meticulous attention to detail, the copper and glass masterpiece is a spectacular wedding venue.

Alternatively, The Blackburn Wing is a multi-award-winning copper and glass structure built as a tribute to Robert Blackburn, a Yorkshireman and aviation pioneer, who introduced the first scheduled air service to Great Britain and lived at Bowcliffe Hall in the early 1900s. The space can hold 60 for dinner and 120 for the reception.

WHAT TO EXPECT Spicer Manor has a traditional feel and style of décor, yet is filled with state-of-the-art technology including the Sonos music system and incredible cinema room. The features match the countryside setting of the venue, with tartan fabric curtains and lampshades all made by local suppliers, along with the stand out curved oak staircase.
The Coach House has a beautiful rustic interior with king truss oak beams, wooden cladding and stone walls, fitting in perfectly with the location creating a wonderful romantic wedding setting.
