Winter wonderlands
I’m so excited to be writing my first edition of Your Yorkshire Wedding – and what I’ve found from scrolling the wedding galleries from our three local newlyweds that feature as ‘Real Weddings’ in this issue is that Yorkshire couples really know how to tie the know in style, wow! As my colleagues now know, I’m a true romantic and was blubbing away in the office as I saw the precious images captured from our couples’ big days.
This month, I went to my first wedding since the restrictions lifted and it felt so good to hug and share a glass of bubbles (or three) with friends and loved ones once again. The venue was bursting with good vibes and the dancefloor was full with guests eager to let loose once again! Our music and entertainment feature on page 75 will give you some excellent ideas if you’re still looking for a DJ, band or even singing waiters to get people busting a groove on your big day!
As we’re well into the autumn/ winter months we also have a fabulous photography feature on p49 entitled Come Rain or Shine. This proves that no matter what time of year, and no matter what the weather may bring on your chosen day – do not worry – you will still have the time of your lives. And do you know what? So called ‘bad weather’ makes for some wonderfully dramatic shots!
We also have a spotlight on Winter Wonderland venues, so if you’re dreaming of a cosy wedding complete with roaring fireplaces and fur shawls check out our feature on p19.
I can’t wait to hear from more of you and continue to promote all things Yorkshire. To submit your own nuptials to grace the pages of Your Yorkshire Wedding, get in touch via our website www.youryorkshire.wedding/get-involved
Happy planning! Rachel
