The 12-piece collection is the second from the award-winning British designer, inspired by the reawakening of her love of creativity, new beginnings and the awakening of the world in general, focusing on a lighter look on modern life.

Kate Fearnley has seen some significant changes over the last year. The period of enforced reflection led to a move of premises, swapping the busy town centre high street of Middlesbrough for the beautiful and tranquil north Yorkshire countryside, and her hometown of Stokesley.

Awaken includes romantic designs, with modern and fashion forward silhouettes featuring the brand’s signature style enhanced with delicate feathers, hand-finished embroidery and threedimensional embellishment.

The gowns are relaxed yet luxurious, with movement, freedom and comfort at the forefront of Kate’s mind, using beautiful soft stretch laces, feathers, embroidery and sequins, coupled with vintage inspired lace and the softest of tulles and stretch satin.

This beauty product, which is also called a Lash Ribbon, is a 15-16cm strip of lightweight lash segments presented on an ultra-thin band. HAPPILY MARRIED IN SHEFFIELD

It’s official, if you want to be in with the best chance of having a long, happy marriage − you should move to Sheffield. Believe it or not, greetings card manufacturer Scribbler’s recent survey found that: in Sheffield, 92.3 per cent of married adults describe their marriages as being happy. That’s higher than any other major city in the UK.

The second most happily married city is Manchester, where 90.3 per cent of married individuals say their marriages are happy. This is then followed by Newcastle (89.6 per cent), Southampton (89.58 per cent) and Plymouth (89.29 per cent).

A third of all survey respondents said that they were happily married, and that number jumps to almost half (48 per cent) of all over 55s.

Also, a quarter of all respondents said that they had never been married but would like to be.

And of the divorcees who responded to the survey, 42 per cent said that they would happily marry again despite having been divorced.

The Old Rectory to reopen

Vine Hotels has announced that The Old Rectory in Handsworth, south Yorkshire, which joined the hospitality and hotel management company in early August, will be re-opening as a premium wedding venue this autumn.

The Old Rectory is a beautiful Grade II listed stone building in Handsworth on the edge of Sheffield and Vine Hotels now plans to refurbish and relaunch this historic venue to accommodate weddings and events of up to 200 guests for a buffet and 140 for a banquet dinner.

In addition to interior upgrades in the main hall, décor refurbishment and the addition of new lighting will take place in the two further Georgian period rooms, which are ideal for more intimate celebrations. The Orgreave and The Ballifield can accommodate up to 50 guests and 15 guests for a banquet style dinner. Couples will also be able to hold both their wedding ceremony and reception at The Old Rectory, as the venue has been granted a wedding licence.
