Baroque cases: seats for the wealthy and powerful people. Over-decor style

ĺ˜—čŠŚ We first want to design a chair which give user Inspiration, hence we started up a research.
About Attemptation
We go o n c o l l e c t i n g i n formation about inpiration and studyed them. Also we design an interview and a plan to observe users, in order to meet the breaking point on design.

Taking photos while potential users are brainstorming, and not aware of me. We thought these movements are crucial to our design.
People stretched their arms and legs. Head in hands. Grab something to squeez and pull.

About Error & Evalu- ation
Upper1 is the design criteria of "Inspiring Chair" We use some design method, upper2, to obtain our criteria.

Why We Failed
1. We didn't hand in a solid idea or method. Therefore this project is not persuasive enough.
2. The criteria we offered show NO differences with com-mon chair. It is not unique.
3. "The c hair that inspired" is a idea that is too abstract. We c a n h a r d l y evaluate the result.
What We Learned
1. If we want to convince others, we must hand in a solid effort.
2. We must strictly define the position of our product --what it is good at and what's it's disadvantage.
3. Abstact topic is difficult to handle. Be daring to challenge it, but in the same time we must define the goal strictly.

About a Chair
About Re- direction
We struggled to find a new direction in limited time. As it turned out, we are all interested in occupational hazrad in the office. Especialy in those who can not leave their seat at will.
Receptionist We Failed in the second briefing. Thus we soon held many conferences to turn on the new page.

We took many books of professional massage as references, hope to solve this problem with "Massage".

Where is the problem
1. Some people in the office cannot get up from the seat at will. 2. While dealing with customers or bosses, they can not even massage theirself.
3. Long- term working situation without rest may cause severe body damage. Mostly in waist, back and shoulder.
4. Places like reception center or receptionist desk requires uplifting environments.
New Design Criteria
1. Comfortable 2. Consider different body size
3. Affordable 4. Users cannot easily be found massaging
5. Simple, fit in the environment, lightness.

About Body Measurement We use cardboard to measure proper size multiple times till satisfied.

We test with several volunteers wether the massage position is good enough again and again.

The handle on the MRT will glow while being hold in hand. The passengers can complete a film together on the MRT The animations are broadcastng on the windows, it shows videos of positive or important social issue.
