A Boy Called Jex is a short film and story concept. Shying away from the harsh realities of the world and the struggles of growing into adolescence, 13 year-old Jex turns his uncle’s theater into his own vibrant and imaginative world where he can be at home. But this isn’t just any playhouse. Since a very young age, Jex has kept an extraordinary secret- at his will, he can bring everyday objects to life. The world he creates with them is strange and fantastical; a little dangerous, but magical. It is here he can create his own story- one without bounds or limitations.

Psychopath T.O.U.G.H. is design campaign for a ficticious music group. The concept was created by picking a noun, adjective, and music genre (techno) from a blind bag. The result was invented to be an upcoming electronic music duo, created by fictional singer Terry Oliver and D.J. Upton Garner Hughes, who use a mascot to represent themselves on promotional media. The group is targeted towards a young adult crowd via social media, while their music has a chillstep, electronic vibe. To reflect this, the titular character’s design is given a clean, rebellious look with a dual white and blue color scheme to coincide with the digital theme of the band.

The Castillo de San Marcos of St. Augustine is a national monument and proud symbol of the city. Constructed in the late 17th century, the fort is the second oldest masonry fort in the United States. Overlooking the Matanzas Bay, the fort serves as a proud historical monument for the city, nowadays a park/ museum dedicated to both its and St. Augustine’s long history. This signage rebranding seeks to connect the park’s long history with a modern, clean style.

“A person with a new idea is a crank until the idea succeeds. — Mark Twain
Design has been an essential part of my life since the day I could first pick up a pencil. Creating stories and visual narratives- whether it be through logo or character design- is my main source of motivation. Every work of design, no matter how complex or simplistic, has the ability to tell its own story and captivate its audience. Design is ever-changing and evolving- and I love that. Nothing is more exhilarating than getting a chance to live, if for a moment, in those worlds I strive to create as an artist and to make them the best that they can be. Design is an art that is meant to be shared and evolve, and getting that chance to do just that is what I live for.
