OBSESSIVE COLLECTION A look at what and why my sister Chloe Golightly has an obsession for collecting.
Christmas ornaments
Collection of christmas bells and ornaments. Chloe has been collecting them for 8 years. First one she got was the fish ornament from our mam. She now
owns hundreds of different coloured, different shaped ornaments - some which are worth a lot of money. Chloe does not collect these because they are worth
money, she does it because it is something which she enjoys doing.
Trolls
Chloe’s collection of trolls. A troll doll, also known as a Dam doll, is a type of plastic doll with furry hair depicting a troll. They were originally created in 1959. Chloe has
been collecting these since she got het first Santa troll when she was six years old. Buying these from charity shops, ebay, and having them given to
her, she now has over fifty trolls. Although being worth a lot of money (some going for ÂŁ90), Chloe said she would never sell these.
Collection of Lego which Chloe has been adding to for four years. Even though it is a short period of time compared to her other collections, this is her biggest.
Her collection ranges from Lego pieces and sets, to mini fugures and even just keeping the packets that the figures came in. Anything Lego, Chloe will have it.
Interests
Buying objects from car boot sales and charity shops, Chloe has hundreds of collectables. Ranging from pots she digs up from the ground,
things from cereal boxes and vintage collectables. She has been collecting these for seven years, keeping them in an old fashioned larder.
Various cups and glasses
Inside Chloe’s larder, there is also her collection of cups and mugs. She has no reason for collecting these, she just likes to do it. If it’s a collectable
or vintage, she wants it. This is something which Chloe loves to do, and it will never get boring. This collection gets bigger every year, and will continue to
grow. Compared to the rest of Chloe’s collectables some of these are worth nothing, yet she still likes to do it.
