If you’ve ever stayed in a luxurious hotel room, you know the feeling of sinking into a plush bed, surrounded by crisp linens, fluffy pillows, and calming decor. But you don’t have to wait for your next vacation to experience this level of comfort - you can create a hotel-inspired bedroom right in your own home. Here are some tips for transforming your sleeping space into a restful oasis:

Why not upgrade your mattress to help recreate that lasting memory of supreme comfort? Many hotel beds are king or super king size – go on and spoil yourself if space permits. High buttoned or quilted headboards and bed frames will enhance the hotel vibe. Choose cool grey fabrics for a cosmopolitan look or a colourful velvet to create Vintage Retro and Boutique Luxe styles.

Incorporate textures: To add depth and interest to your bedroom, incorporate different textures. Layer a plush rug over hardwood floors, add throw pillows and blankets made of soft materials like cashmere or faux fur, and hang curtains made of natural fabrics like linen or silk. Layering tactile materials will add depth and interest to a bedroom scheme.

A bedroom should be all about comfort, so invest in a tufted twist pile carpet for a fabulous feeling underfoot.

Add soft lighting: Harsh overhead lighting can be jarring, so add some soft lighting to create a calming ambience. You can level up your bedroom aesthetic with a statement chandelier – whether that’s with a traditional glass chandelier, an industrial metal design or even a bohemian-inspired rattan chandelier.

For a Hotel look we would recommend wall lamps either side of the bed with dedicated LED reading lights, these are very practical.

If you don’t have wiring for wall lights you could use a small bedside table, touch lamps are ideal here. Invest in bedside lamps or instal dimmer switches to adjust the brightness.

Add some greenery: Bring a touch of nature into your bedroom by adding some plants. Choose lowmaintenance varieties, like succulents or snake plants, that thrive in low-light environments. By incorporating these simple tips, you can transform your bedroom into a luxurious, hotel-inspired oasis that you’ll love coming home to every day.

Create a focal point: Hotels often have a stunning focal point, like a statement headboard or a piece of artwork. Create a focal point in your own bedroom by investing in a statement piece of furniture or hanging a striking piece of art above your bed. A wall mural will create visual impact in a bedroom. Abundant floral designs feel smart and contemporary when paired with luxurious velvet, gold and marble. Mirror the pattern on just one cushion, keeping surrounding bed linen plain and light so the mural can take centre stage.
