Site Proposals A new pumping station is to be built for Essex & Suffolk Water to replace the Thames Water owned Lower Hall ‘A’ pumping station. The new pumping station will pump raw water from either the King George V or the William Girling Reservoir to Chigwell Water Treatment Works for treatment and distribution and will have a maximum pumped flow of 118 million litres per day. The major construction elements include: • New Pumping Station • New Switchgear and Transformer Building • New Standby Generator and Fuel Tank • New Access Road including fuel and chemical delivery areas • Site Fencing
