For much of his long and successful Cove Rangers career, Connor Scully has, at least to the outside world, been the unsung hero.

Since being moved from the left wing, he has been the grafter in midfield, the dog of war, freeing up other, perhaps more technically gifted, team mates to do their work.

But, in seventy-two glorious hours, that all changed.

Having been urged to get into the box more, Connor bagged successive doubles, with his spectacular acrobatic strikes against Dundee gaining national headlines.

“It was great getting the two goals against Arbroath, and then that second half against Dundee! It’s just a haze if I’m honest.”
