“My work is about purpose and giving back to the community,” says Leah. “I donate fi ve percent of the sale of my paintings to the Seabin Project, which collects trash, oil, fuel and detergents from the world’s ocean.”

Through her art, Leah blends design with education, highlighting the simple beauty of nature and the ocean while also educating people on animal and environmental sustainability.

From the outset, Leah knew that “painting pretty pictures” was never enough—she wanted her artwork to infl uence its viewers to cause them to see nature as something more valuable than a commodity.

Her collections have become less about consumerism and more about awareness. It’s more about spending time in nature without harming it. “I want to make a positive difference in the world,” says Leah. “I want to make it a bright future for all of us, as well as nature and the environment.”

Leah also takes commission works and sells prints of her watercolours. You can fi nd her down at the Manly Markets most weekends or visit her online store.

Leah has taken her art to many locales around the Northern Beaches. Her works have been featured in several local cafés, the Outfall Art Collective and in her own gallery space in Newport – Leah’s Mark.

Leah’s distinctive style, coupled with her creative energy and attention to detail, has made her a much-loved local artist. Her paintings’ universal appeal has seen them travel the world, captivating collectors everywhere. •
