Sam Dunleavy and Joey Crútch can make this dream a reality. With over 10 years experience living life onboard 60m to 100m yachts in The Mediterranean, the couple are experts on yacht living. And so ‘The Yacht Life’ was born, Sam and Joey’s newly launched superyacht charter company.
“It’s not just about chartering a yacht on the water but living the yacht lifestyle and soaking up everything it offers. From having the freedom to explore the ocean, to seeing amazing places inaccessible by land,” explains Joey and Sam.
It is clear that The Yacht Life is more than just a charter business. It is a lifestyle company promoting and delivering the immersive experience of being part of the superyacht world.
Founding The Yacht Life back in 2020, the couple have worked hard to achieve their position as one of Australia’s leading luxury yacht charter agencies. With over a decade of combined experience in the industry and access to superyachts all over the world, their expertise and unwavering knowledge of this lucrative society has contributed to their overwhelming success. They know a high standard of customer service is required and carry it out meticulously for each individual charter and concierge needs.
Sam and Joey distinguish themselves from other charter brokers as they proactively partner with land-based companies to share the yacht life. In March this year, The Yacht Life partnered with Aqua Rugby Australia organising a fl otilla of superyachts for the event. The superyachts created a fl oating grandstand for a game of ‘5 vs 5’ full-contact rugby on a 30 x 30 metre pontoon pitch. Five superyachts are again secured for Aqua Rugby 2.0 on 10-12 November 2022 on Sydney Harbour.

“We want to be a part of building awareness of the Australasian superyacht industry making it a sought-after destination for travellers similar to that of the Mediterranean and the Caribbean,” says Joey and Sam.
With their fi rst-hand experience of the industry and having a global network at their fi ngertips, the couple are defi nitely gaining attention with The Yacht Life being appointed as the central agent for Australia’s newest superyacht to the market, Sea Raes.
Sea Raes is an extension of Byron Bay’s iconic boutique hotel, Raes on Wategos. Sharing Sam and Joey’s vision, Sea Raes is making the most of Australia’s best destinations alternating charter availability in the Whitsundays and the iconic Sydney Harbour. The addition of Sea Raes to their fl eet, paired with their second-to-none customer service and ability to create and execute bespoke itineraries is what keeps the couple top of mind with potential clients.
