Its HSC results deliver ATARs of 99+ and numerous mentions on the NSW Distinguished Achievers List. The all-boys school represents a diverse range and pattern of study, with multiple students achieving First in State in a subject.
CATERING TO THE INDIVIDUAL
The College provides each student with the opportunity to achieve his personal academic best and reach his full potential. Gifted and talented students are extended beyond the mainstream educational curriculum with specialised learning programs from Year 5. The College offers enrichment programs across music, mathematics and writing, termed IGNITE.

FACILITIES
The College’s masterplan and structured building program aims to deliver worldclass teaching and learning facilities within our idyllic Northern Beaches locale. Its most recent project, the four storey Goold Building, was awarded the Master Builders Association of NSW 2020 Excellence in Construction Award,
The facilities have been carefully designed to provide the best learning environment for students, with a key focus on tailoring learning spaces to boys. This includes collaborative working spaces, specialised music, art and drama rooms, and sophisticated science laboratories.
SPORT & CO-CURRICULAR
The College offers a diverse, inclusive and consistently successful Sport & Cocurricular program, with students from this local school achieving on both the national and international stage. It was named number one Schoolboy Rowing Program in Australia in 2022 and 2023, and Australia’s team at the World Rowing U19 Championships has exclusively featured St Augustine’s College students for the past two years running – with the team achieving Gold in 2022!
Its rugby program includes two graduates recently named in the Wallabies 2023 World Cup squad and many others playing professionally domestically and overseas.
Students can pursue creative talents with many opportunities to perform and enhance skills in Music and Drama. Past graduates have progressed to renowned Australian Tertiary Creative Arts establishments such as National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and
the Conservatorium of Music, and have established careers as artists, designers and authors.
STUDENT WELLBEING
The College’s patron, Saint Augustine, provides a teaching framework that encourages personal growth, achieved amongst a community of friends. Its wellbeing program, Augustinian Wellbeing in Education (AWE), is recognised as industry leading. Head of Student Wellbeing, Ilona Welch presented at the 2023 International Boys’ School Coalition Annual Conference on how other schools can implement a successful wellbeing program from research to practice.
The College’s educational style relies on a relationship-based model, with pastoral care provided by a community of caring staff. Relationships are at the heart of an Augustinian community, and are also critical to a boy’s learning. Boys thrive in an educational environment where they first establish positive trusting relationships with teachers. The College also fosters positive relationships amongst students, leading to bonds within the local community that continue to be valued by its alumni long after graduating.
