Leaving a Legacy of Care

With your gift to Cowichan Hospice, you provide compassionate end-of-life care to people like Diane Doucet, whose husband Glenn Spicer spent his last days in peace in Cowichan Hospice House.

“As soon as Glenn was brought into his room at Hospice House, he was so happy. For me, it was like an island of sanity. It was an enormous relief that I was in a place where I could recharge myself to be a help for Glenn and support him on his journey. It gave me the strength to be spiritually connected to him – an amazing gift. I am so grateful. All the help from Cowichan Hospice volunteers gave me the bridge to walk across turbulent waters. Not everyone has that bridge. Through your donation, you’re making that help possible, for me and for others. Thank you.” — Diane

A lifelong artist, Glenn’s final passion project was creating the stained-glass windows for the Sacred Space at Cowichan Hospice House. Once installed, Glenn’s own legacy will bring peace to all who enter this space. Each of us can leave a legacy in our own way. It is easy to create a legacy through a gift in your will. After remembering your loved ones, creating a gift in your will enables you to make a lasting difference to a cause that you care about, and may even reduce the taxes payable.
