How can a transition to mass timber be catalytic to a broader cultural change?

The potential of mass timber in Canada, and the specific implications of a wide-scale adoption of mass timber by the construction industry, require a cultural and industrial paradigm shift. A growing understanding of the potential growth of the forestry industry as a supplier of construction materials offers an opportunity to investigate the cultural implications of mass production of mass timber. By retooling an existing centre of production, this design illustrates how and where the transformation can take hold.
