We retained five bulls out of the 2014 calf crop. Those five were all out of what we considered paternally prepotent dams that were proven and donor worthy. 4547B was one of those five and out of the 5900R donor who earned a NR 12/103 who also produced the Memento 0511X herd sire. Interesting that 4547 is a naturally sired son of Crowfoot Equation 5793R who ran here with 50 cows as a 9-year-old bull. The first Crowfoot Equation daughters are now entering their 16th year and easily make an argument to going back to using the old bull, or his downline.

Coalition created a proof of production the old school way; having ran in multi-sire groups his first two years. After that he always got the older proven cows, hoping for one more daughter out of them. Coalition has a herd bull look and visitors always noted on the quality of condition and foot he has for an older bull. He carries the maternal legacy of two generations of Lady Erica donors. His daughters have great udder structure – maybe our best.
