Our home ...
Welcome
Welcome to our third private treaty bull sale! This is the last set of yearling bulls we will have on offer. We have switched our entire cow herd to May-June calving, both commercials and purebreds. It has been a breath of fresh air to have our cows calve on green grass. These are bulls that are raised without excuses – they are on a low grain diet with good quality hay, plenty of room for exercise, and their dams were never given any second chances for fertility. We are excited about the potential that these bulls could have for your herd and we hope you are too!
Please give us a call or text and come for a tour!Bulls are for sale off farm – first come, first serve.

REGENERATION - OUR STORY
When is sustainability not enough?
Sustainability has been a buzzword for several years now. But the idea of stasis – never losing ground but also never improving, wasn’t something that felt right to us. Enter regenerative agriculture. It all started two years ago when we attended a Hand N’ Hand Livestock Marketing and Stockmanship school. A friend at the school introduced us to the world of Gabe Brown, Allen Williams, Nicole Masters, and several others through the University of YouTube. From there our trajectory in the cattle and land business took a sharp turn and we are excited about where it is taking us. We are new to this but some things we have been trying are: bale grazing, using polyculture crops for swath grazing, cell grazing on our hayfields instead of haying, changing calving seasons to be more in sync with nature, reducing our use of parasiticides on our cattle, crossfencing to increase the number of paddocks per group, reducing the frame score on our herd for more grass efficient cattle, and bringing in yearlings in the summer to have greater herd effect on the land for improved grass growth. This coming year we are excited to try combining more small herds for even greater herd impact and increasing the number of species in our polyculture swath grazing mix. Regeneration is about building soil, sequestering carbon, and increasing the resiliency of the land we live and work on. We would love to hear about your regeneration story, so give us a call and tell us what you’ve been up to!
