THIS COLLABORATION of CPH:DOX and Kunsthal Charlottenborg presents a group exhibition of sculptures, installations and movies that illustrate the temporary nature of time, whether it’s the past, the present or the future. Among the exhibiting international artists are Marguerite Humeau from France, Iain Ball from the UK, Katja Novitskova from Estonia, Parker Ito from the US and 81-year-old Eduardo Terrazas from Mexico. All their artworks touch on current change in the world: explosive popula-
tion growth, rising temperatures and sea levels, automation, artificial intelligence, growing inequality, prospects of eternal life, the resurrection of animal species and mass extinction. However, being confronted by change is nothing new. Claude Monet, for example, drew inspiration from chasing time as he tried to keep up with the changing nature of his garden. The exhibition will accordingly open with a film about Monet painting his famous waterlilies. Welcome Too Late is a reminder that chasing time is not the solution for escaping the rapid development of the world – instead change your focus and zoom out. From young, upcoming artists to elderly, experienced ones, this is about their attempt to not just capture one moment but bigger temporalities. If you are interested in art dealing with change, growth and its limits, then don’t miss this exhibition!

will leave audiences wanting more of the same. Elms has assembled a talented, mostly young cast, and he is confident their exuberance and raw talent will overcome their lack of experience. The Pillowman is considered to be one of the most provocative plays of the last quarter of a century. Mixing comedy and terror, the story follows a young writer, Katurian, and his mentally impaired brother, Michael, who is being questioned in prison about the children’s tales he has written – gloomy stories that have inspired copycat killings on the streets outside. Two interrogators, Tupolski and Ariel, trawl for a comedic yet alarming resemblance between the real and fictional worlds, while also searching for the personal responsibility of the writer and his brother. The play includes both narrations and re-enactments of Katurian’s stories. The Pillowman will leave you on the edge of your seat until the very last line.

April 13, 20:00; Vega; 260kr ANDREA DOMINGUEZ
IT WAS something of a comeback year for the Jamaican hip-hop singer Sean Paul in 2016. He was among the contributors to Clean Bandit’s enormously successful single ‘Rockabye’ (along with AnneMarie), which swept to number one across the world, but bizarrely missed out on the best single award at the Brits to Little Mix. It followed a collaboration on ‘Cheap Thrills’ with Sia in the summer, underlining Paul’s re-emergence as a global star.
With almost 20 years in the music business, Paul’s first major success came in 2002 with his second studio album Dutty Rock, which he has since followed with four more. Even more impressive is the number of his collabations: Enrique Iglesias, Pharrell Williams, Busta Rhymes, Beyoncé, Santana, Joss Stone, Rihanna, Major Lazer and ... err ... Little Mix. And 2017 is turning out to be no less momentous, as in January Paul and his wife Jodi ‘Jinx’ Stewart, a Jamaican TV host, welcomed their first child into the world. So get ready to party with a man who has a reason to celebrate. Let him raise the ‘Temperature’ and ensure ‘We be burning’. And the good news is that the next day is a public holiday!

O YOU FANCY the idea of experiencing Easter like a royal at the Nordic Versailles? Take a cultural trip to Frederiksborg Castle, a building set on the edge of
a lake and encircled by a baroque garden, demonstrating that even nature has to bend to a royalty’s will. Apart from panoramic boat tours and breathtaking walks, this Easter holiday you can exclusively admire the tapestry tablecloths and a momentous tulip decoration dating back to the 1600s. The palatial castle has a range of workshops and activities for kids inspired by the childhood of the famous Danish
king Christian IV. Children will feel like they’re part of the royal family during the Renaissance period, as they will be given the chance to write with feather and ink, make colour drawings and dress up in gowns and costumes similar to those worn in court. Last but not least, the young ones will be rewarded if they can help the Easter bunny find the missing words in his snowdrop letter (gækkebreve).

HE VIKING Ship Museum allows you to explore a world of Nordic ancestors as depicted in the history books. Half an hour from Copenhagen and located closely to the waterfront, the museum houses the remains
of five Viking ships and tells the story of their discovery in the waters of Roskilde. If you consider yourself a true Viking fan, then visit the museum and join forces with other visitors and volunteers to help with the much-awaited launch of an impressive 30-metre warship, the Sea Stallion, on April 8. The museum also offers the opportunity to experience sailing in a reconstructed Viking ship, although
you’ll have to wait until May 1. In the meantime, grab your friends or children on the same date as the launch and learn how to release your creativity in sand drawings inspired by the Vikings’ travels and ornamentation. Partner up with the artist Helle Hove and contribute to the gradually developing installation of sand drawings, which will be on display at the Viking Ship Hall.
