THE EGYPTIAN DREAM

Designed by antiques collector and interior designer, Amr Khalil, La Maison Bleue is a luxuriant mansion located in the resort town of El Gouna on Egypt’s Red Sea coast. Burrowing architectural influences from Italy, Turkey, Syria and North Africa with antique European furniture and ornaments from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries throughout, the decadent guest house offers a serene and timeless escape.

Situated on Kite Center Road in a remote location, La Maison Bleue lies by Mangroovy Beach along the Red Sea coast. Take the left in front of the El Gouna Sliders Park off the El Gouna Entrance Road and continue, following Abu Tig Marina signs. Turn left at the roundabout towards Ancient Sands, pass the bridge at Mosaique Hotel along Mangroovy beach and continue on until you find the estate.

La Maison Bleue’s opulent design features a fabulous Venetian-style facade, marble floors inspired by Saint Mark’ Basilica, reproductions of Minoan murals from Santorini, and a mosaic colonnade inspired by Barcelona’s Palace of Catalan Music.

The elegant design continues to enchant with a bounty of Art Deco furniture by French designer, Leleu, a wonderfully curated selection of Italian empire furniture, and an art nouveau fireplace in the salon. Transporting guests even further are the romantic and intricate balconies and sheltered alcoves with views of a turquoise lagoon and shimmering Red Sea. Drawings developed by architect Oliver Sednaoui bring the walls to life, and gardens masterfully created by the French landscaper, Louis Benech, give La Maison Bleue guests an otherwordly feeling of having traveled to another place and time.

La Maison Bleue opened its doors at the end of 2011 attracting couples and celebrities with its five-star service, timeless elegance and secluded ambiance. From exemplary amenities –including an outdoor swimming

pool, private swimming lagoon, and luxury spa- to spacious, individually designed suites, La Maison Bleue offers guests the ultimate Red Sea experience.
