also my birthday week! We first met four years ago on the world's worst college tour. Ever since, we’ve become friends and stayed in touch! This was our first time seeing each other in person as friends and it was magical.
Near the end of July, I visited Boston with my parents We found a store in Salem with Wizard of Oz items in the window but sadly it was closed I did get to see some of the buildings used in Hocus Pocus! It was our first time leaving Canada since 2019 and was a great time
Recently, my Yellow Brick Road has led me to New York City!

This summer has consisted of finishing up my Oz room! I'm excited to share the new completed shelves. I also just got my hands on the MinaLima Oz reprint, a wonderful book with interactive pages! This edition is 100% going onto my Oz shelf.
I've been rediscovering my love of theatre and had the chance to see some amazing shows, including Wicked! Now that I’ve read all the Baum Oz books, along with the pod, I noticed more details than I ever had before. I also got to visit Books of Wonder during my trip and I had so much fun looking at everything Oz related there!

From the moment I brought her home, Maggie's proven to be my soulmate We both love napping, a good piece of cheese, and promenades around local bookstores We’ve been adventuring together for just over 7 months, and each day, I marvel at how much my life has changed for good with her in it
My Yellow Brick Road led me to Niagara on the Lake and Toronto, Canada where my wonderful friends threw me an Oz themed bachelor party ahead of my upcoming wedding in September, complete with T shirts, ruby slipper Jell O shots, an Emerald City cocktail, and decorations that took me over the rainbow. These women are truly my brains, heart, and courage I honestly don’t know what I would do without them.
I also got to experience my first Oz convention hosted by the Oz Club in East Aurora, New York! It was wonderful to meet fellow Oz fans as well as take in the fabulous presentations on the art of Oz, WW Denslow, and John R Neill I hope this convention is the first of many that I will attend down the line and strongly encourage folks to ease on down to one in the future

My Yellow Brick Road led me to an Oz Club convention on the Roycroft Campus in East Aurora, NY We had four wonderful days of presentations, classes, tours, entertainment, displays, and in person fellowship We left behind a lasting tribute to Oz illustrator W W Denslow who had been part of this amazing creative community

WITCHES NIGHT OUT!
Witches Night Out is September 24th from 11 AM 9 PM in the town of Volant, PA Volant is a little town about an hour north of Pittsburgh that’s full of antiquing, local craft vendors, and lots of great food! Come dressed in your witchy best and enjoy contests for best cackle and best costume, a group dance, and live music as you wander around town and check out some beautiful small businesses I’ve seen lots of Ozian touches in previous years, and yours truly bringing some good witch looks to the night More information can be found here

BRICKS ON THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD
“Bricks On the Yellow Brick Road” is an upcoming documentary that follows the winding paths the Yellow Brick Road has taken to connect Oz to the real world. In addition to unpacking the historical impact of Oz on pop culture and media, the film will highlight the “Friends of Dorothy” movement of the 1970s. Oz historians will share their stories of how “The Wizard of Oz” has impacted their lives and explore the true meaning of “there’s no place like home." This project celebrates every fan or “brick” in the Yellow Brick Road that will lead people back to Oz for generations to come!
