Japan’s Kashimura installs first HP Indigo 12000 HD

Japanese print solution provider Kashimura Co. Ltd. has installed the HP Indigo 12000 HD Digital Press. With the acquisition, the company made its move from analog into digital

The B2 sheetfed HP Indigo solution will enable Kashimura to complete jobs with high-quality pictures quickly and print commercial applications digitally – such as direct marketing materials to posters at retail stores.

Kashimura is a key provider of commercial printing services to Japan’s Shimane Prefecture and the wider middle-northwest region. Specialising in commercial printing and luxury art printing, the company previously relied on traditional production solutions.

As Japan’s commercial printing market continue to shrink, the company faced significantly less demand for long run printing. Kashimura’s Chief Executive Officer, Hideo Kashimura, took the decision to embark on a digital transformation strategy.

“Even though we are now in a difficult situation due to the coronavirus outbreak, we see this as an excellent opportunity to change our business model from analog to digital,” said Kashimura. “We will take advantage of the versatility and automation tools that HP Indigo 12000 HD Digital Press offers to make our new business model successful.”

The HP Indigo 12000 HD Digital Press is enabling this transformation by increasing Kashimura’s productivity and expanding its printing capabilities. Using HP Indigo’s print operating system, the company can automate more processes, speed up operations, and simplify production.

The HP Indigo 12000 HD utilises HP Indigo HD Imaging System, a highdefinition writing head that doubles print resolution to achieve offset quality with an extended array of screening capabilities.
