CPW Vision Award Honoree: Dawoud Bey

CPW is pleased to recognize Dawoud Bey with the 2019 Vision Award in acknowledgment of his remarkable achievements and dedication as a photographer, advocate, educator and mentor. He is renowned for his large-scale color portraits of adolescents and other often marginalized subjects. Dawoud is the recipient of the prestigious MacArthur Genius Award, the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship, regional fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York Foundation for the Arts, and more.
