I first visited Brighton while I was on tour with my band, back in November 2018. Like anyone else who visits Brighton for the first time, I was mesmerised by the vibrant colours that characterise the city, the diverse individuals from all across the globe that identify as "Brightonians", the quaint local cafés and the winding Lanes brimming with a menagerie of Bohemian shops.

When I eventually moved to Brighton in 2019, I got involved in its music scene, and my love affair with this city hasn't stopped ever since. Like any other music capital around the globe, Brighton has suffered immensely because of the socio-economic impact of Covid-19. In this article, I aim to shed light on the small businesses that are doing their very best to save Brighton's compact music and artistic industries from eternal collapse.
