New Release - Creating Attitudinal Change To Education And Training In The Cradle Coast Region: Report The research work was undertaken in the period from August to November 2004, and the Report was completed at the end of November 2004. The two key findings of the Report suggest that: 1.

Attitudes to education and training in the Cradle Coast region are, on the whole, positive ones. It is suggested that any strategy targeting attitudes ought to attempt to reinforce the positive, and let the negative “wither on the vine;

2.

There appears to be a lack of confidence from members of the Cradle Coast community in converting positive attitudes into positive actions. It is suggested that a strategy here ought to focus on enabling or supporting the community to access and undertake education and training courses and services.

Project responses to the Report targeting these two findings are currently under development. The Stronger Learning Pathways Reference Group and its member partners (University of Tasmania, TAFE Tasmania, Tasmanian Education Department, and Cradle Coast Authority) has been considering the Report, and its response to it, and is now in a position to formally release the Report to the community.
