CRADLE COAST AUTHORITY BOARD The Cradle Coast Authority today announced the members of its new Board of Directors, which was formalised by its’ member Council representatives last week. The Board is responsible for all powers delegated to the Authority by its members Councils. It meets monthly, reports to Council representatives four times a year and is subject to annual reviews. Membership of the Board is skills-based and nominations were sought from people with relevant experience in agriculture, industry or commerce, tourism, education and training (5 positions), local government (2 positions) and Council General Managers (1 position). The Authority’s Chief Representative, Mayor Darryl Gerrity, said the new Board has a balanced mix of original members and new appointments, providing continuity and experience as well as fresh perspectives and ideas. He said the Authority’s member Councils were pleased with the number and calibre of nominations received, indicating strong interest and support for the Authority’s role across a wide cross-section of the region’s community. The Authority’s Executive Chairman, Mr Roger Jaensch, thanked outgoing Directors Allan Leeson, Cr. David Brewster, Mayor Ross Hine and Megan Cavanagh-Russell for their service to the Authority and the region. The new Board will meet for the first time next week.
