MEDIA RELEASE 19 July 2010 Registrations closing for the 2010 Cradle Coast Regional Tourism Forum Registrations have been streaming in for the 2010 Qantaslink Cradle Coast Regional Tourism Forum on 28 and 29 July in Ulverstone, with around one hundred delegates already signed up to hear from expert national, state and local speakers and network with industry leaders. Registrations close at 5.00pm on Wednesday 21 July with places still available for the opening cocktail party and day‐time Forum. The Forum dinner, incorporating for the first time The Advocate Cradle Coast Regional Tourism Awards, is sold out reflecting the popularity of the Awards themselves. More than sixty entries were received in the inaugural Awards across eleven categories. Award winners will be announced at the Forum dinner and will be assisted in entering the state tourism awards which traditionally have been under represented by Cradle Coast tourism operators. The Forum program and registration form can be downloaded from www.cradlecoast.com/tourism.html and enquiries are welcome by calling the Cradle Coast Authority on 6431 6285. The 2010 Forum theme is The Art of Partnerships and explores the benefits of collaboration, market understanding and co‐operative marketing programs in the tourism industry and their application in the Cradle Coast region. Guest speakers include Hon Martin Ferguson MP, Federal Minister for Tourism; Felicia Mariani, CEO of Tourism Tasmania; Roger Grant, Executive Director of Geelong Otway Tourism; and keynote motivational speaker Catherine DeVrye, author of Good Service is Good Business – 7 Strategies for Success.
