MEDIA RELEASE 21 June 2010 Tourism forum brings industry experts to the Cradle Coast Registrations have opened for the Qantaslink Cradle Coast Regional Tourism Forum to be held on 28 and 29 July in Ulverstone. Now in its fifth year, the Forum attracts expert speakers and trade displays and provides an opportunity for local tourism operators and other industry professionals to share experiences and learn from the industry’s best. The 2010 Forum theme is The Art of Partnerships and explores the benefits of collaboration, market understanding and co‐operative marketing programs in the tourism industry and their application in the Cradle Coast region. Special guest speakers include Roger Grant of Geelong Otway Tourism Inc with a marketing case study of the Great Ocean Road promotions, and 2010 Australian Keynote Speaker of the Year, Catherine DeVrye. Ms DeVrye has extensive experience in customer service and people management and motivation, arising from ten years as Human Resource Manager in the IBM Asia Pacific headquarters. Ms DeVrye is also a best‐ selling author of several books including Good Service is Good Business – 7 Strategies for Success. For the first time, the Regional Tourism Forum will feature winner announcements for The Advocate Cradle Coast Regional Tourism Awards. Winners in the eleven award categories will be announced in a special presentation during the Forum dinner at the Ulverstone Golf Club on 29 July.
