MV Conservancy and The Chamber Music Festival The Methow Conservancy formed from a 1996 merger between the Methow Valley Land Trust and the Methow Valley Environmental Center. What started as an energetic vision to protect land in the Valley has grown into a well-respected mainstay of the Methow Valley community. Now the organization has a membership base of more than 1000 households. The Methow Valley Chamber Music Festival takes place each summer in the Cascade Mountains on the dry, sunny side of Washington State. Our Center-Stage Concerts are held at Signal Hill Ranch, high above the Methow Valley floor, halfway between Winthrop and Twisp.

Twisp is The Arts Town The Merc Playhouse is a performing arts theater in the valley. They have two productions a year. They also provide a space for dance lessons in the community. The theater is used for many performances and events throughout the year. Other places to find art in the Valley are Door No. 3, a print and book art studio and gallery. The Confluence Gallery and Art Center hold up to 7 exhibits a year, showcasing local Washington Artists.

Local Organic Farms

There are many local and organic farmers. They offer locally raised livestock, organically grown produce, grain, plants, and herbs (Methow Valley Herbs), which are all available at the Methow Valley Farmers Market in Twisp or other local grocers. Some of the local farmers are BCS Livestock, Blue Bird Grain Farms, Booth Canyon Orchard, Rama Farm, and McFarland Creek Lamb Farm, and Highway 20 Honey. With a community focused on locally grown, high quality products, the residents of the valley are offered multiple opportunities for healthy, fresh eating with local food.
