April 2022 Prayer by Tynea Lewis

Dear Heavenly Father,

Lord, we thank you for the gift of renewal. We see it all around us as we move into spring. We see your beauty in the blooming flowers and the budding trees. We feel refreshed with the warmer weather. We praise you for the new life of this season.

Thank you for the reminder that for everything, there is a season. No matter how dark the night, morning is coming. No matter how long the winter, spring will arrive. No matter how deep our hurt, we can find healing.

You are the God of new beginnings. Help us to shed the old. We ask that you help us put off everything that is a hindrance. Lord, we lay these things at your feet. We ask that you renew us and help us be who you want us to be.

Lord, thank you for the promise of life eternal through your son Jesus. This Easter season, we remember the price that was paid for our sins. We don’t deserve this amazing gift, but Lord, you have given it freely to all who believe. Thank you for the gift of new life. In Jesus’ name, amen!
