Attorney and one-time candidate for Michigan governor Geo rey Fieger su ered a stroke earlier this month, his law rm and family said in statements Wednesday.

A statement from Fieger’s wife, Kee- nie, distributed to the media said that on March 1 Fieger “had an elective and standard procedure to deal with a minor heart arrhythmia. Following the procedure, it was determined that Geo rey had su ered a stroke.”
