devastation of hurricane season and a long, arduous election season, we are all grateful for the holiday season and a time to celebrate! News flash: big box retailers are reinventing the shopping season by encouraging consumers to actually leave their computers and “experience” live shopping in a store! Coral Ridge Country Club has always been an oasis for Members that choose to experience and celebrate the times of their lives right here, in person. Our staff loves to welcome families for birthdays, anniversaries, showers, weddings, graduations and more. Special family meals over a Sunday Brunch, a seafood buffet and, of course, a holiday event, are treasured memories we are honored to host. With our new interiors, updated menus and a full calendar of events, it is time to “party like it’s 2017!”
As important as it is to make time to celebrate the joyful milestones in our lives, making time to recreate, exercise or compete on the golf course, tennis courts and pool has never been more important. All of our facilities continue to improve year after year and are ready for your enjoyment this season. A virtual army of golf course maintenance staff have worked over the summer in order to produce the best playing surface in years. Tennis is just finishing the resurfacing of several courts, now with more lighting for increased night play and the pool continues to draw those in need of a quiet swim in the consistently warm waters of 84 degrees. So, whether you are ready to celebrate the end of 2016 and reflect on past blessings or looking forward to the celebrations of the year ahead, we hope you will make time to relax, reconnect and CELEBRATE with us! Tips for a Smooth Round • Provide all names of the Members and guests when making your golf reservation. This helps the staff prepare the golf bags and carts for you. • Check-in at the Golf Shop as soon as practical, so we know that your group is here. • Be ready at the first tee at least 5 minutes ahead of your scheduled time. Every group that is late moves the next time back. • Play “ready golf ” whenever possible. If each person hits their shot when “ready” instead of when they have honors, your group can save several minutes each hole. (This should be agreed upon by your group prior to play due to possible match play rules issues.) • Never proceed to the 10th tee to start play without consulting with the Starter or Golf Shop first. It is imperative that we know where golfers are on the course at all times. Failure to check in may also interfere with maintenance operations that are being conducted. • Take a lesson or practice more! Not only can this make the game more enjoyable, but knowing your game better can quicken your club and shot selection during play. • Always ride 2 to a cart when asked to do so by staff.

Thursday, December 8, 9 am This complimentary event is open to all team players and subs from the Iola & Broward leagues. Play will consist of non-scoring rounds of doubles followed by a luncheon. Players are encouraged to dress in holiday attire. We will once again be collecting toys for the homeless animals at the Humane Society. Call the Tennis Shop to secure your spot today!
to take a look at the new ways to get in the game! Our clinic program has expanded for both children and juniors. The Mighty Mites clinic now runs for 45 minutes rather than a 1/2 hour. Tiny Tots/Level I and Level III are now offered two days a week and we have added a Junior Fitness Hour every Friday afternoon. Our most exciting changes have occurred on the courts. By replacing all existing light poles with state of the art lighting and adding lights to Courts 5 & 6, we now have eight lighted courts expanding our night programs. Our two teaching courts have been converted into HydroCourts that water from beneath the surface and will always play consistently. No more excuses, day or night, we are ready to expand your skills and have you playing some great tennis!

WINTER SESSION
Tournament Success! Members and friends had a fabulous time at the recent Tennis Tournament & Luncheon to Benefit Holy Cross Hospital’s Partners in Breast Health Program on November 3. The CRCC Tennis Staff wish to thank the Tournament Committee of Sheri Whittington, Maria Jose Higgins and Lisa Barogiannis for their leadership in creating this successful fundraising opportunity for such a worthy cause.
Session 1: December 19 - 22 Monday - Thursday, 10 am - 1 pm Session 2: December 26 - 29 Monday - Thursday, 10 am - 1 pm Join us for our two sessions of camp designed for juniors ages 6 through 14. Each session will include instruction, drills, match play, and a “hit for prizes” game. This fun and instructional camp is very popular! Please contact the Tennis Shop at 954.449.4410 to register. $150 per Member per session, $160 per non-member per session
Converting a Court For those that are not aware, the process of converting our asphalt courts to new HydroCourt surfaces is a lengthy procedure! The process starts with permits and site plans, then demolition and removal of debris and finally irrigation installation and surface preparations. Scheduling each, with an eye on the weather, was a challenge, but the final outcome is worth it!

C LU B EV E N T R E S E RVAT I O N P O L I C Y Special club events, wine dinners, seafood buffets and holiday dining are popular events that sell out and require the purchase of special food and beverage products, equipment, entertainment, etc. Last minute un-replaced cancellations (including changes to the party number) are unfair to those Members who are turned away due to full capacity and cause the Club to incur unnecessary expenses if the reservation is not replaced. As a result, the Club must exercise a firm enforcement of the special event and holiday dining policy. • At the time of making your reservation we will charge your account 100% of the event price. Please let us know if you have other Members dining with you. • You may cancel 7 days prior to event, without being charged. • If you cancel less than 7 days prior to the event, you will have to pay 100% of the event price. Note: Should there be a wait list and we are able to fill your reservation less than 6 days prior to the event, your account will be credited in full.
