Crea-re offers self-designed and handmade products. The name of our brand derives from creativity CREA and from recycling RE. We are a couple of designers: Maria Fiter (Polish) – projects ecofriendly lighting and furniture and Marco Migliorisi (Italy) – designs eco-cases for musical instruments.

Marco says:
Many of our projects are made from recycled materials: lamps made from unwanted newspapers, lamps from clips, shelves from wood which was doomed to be thrown out, bags made from old truck tarpaulin. We are against disposing things. Crea-re gives a second life to the objects.
Maria says: "I create eco-friendly lighting made mostly with paper-mache and wood. To create paper pulp lamps I use only old newspapers – in this way they are 100% recycled. In some of my lamps I use wood – the leftovers from the carpenters’ workshop. In my wooden products I use only water-based varnish and beeswax finish. Each paper pulp lamp is different – it is not possible to make two exactly the same lamps. I make each of them by myself and each of them has got its own story – their stories talk about my inspirations to create them, like the series of lamps called “Copernicus” where the inspiration for all of the lamps comes from the planets of the Solar System like: Luna, Jupiter, Pluto, Globe. Also art is a great source of inspiration for me – the structure of lamps – gray, porous, irregular, dry and cracked was inspired by the paintings of Polish artist group called Grupa Nowohucka. "

DROP
Form of this paper pulp lamp refers to the shape of a drop. The poem of Alan Sorrenti called „Aria” was a source of inspiration for me to create it. In that poem the speaker embodies drops hanging from his balcony with pearls from the crown of his beloved.

J U P IT E R
Paper pulp lamp refers with its shape and color to one of the planets of the solar system – Jupiter. Lamp dominates with its size over the rest of the paper pulp lamps, as well as Jupiter – the largest planet in the solar system. Thanks to an ocher color the lamp gives a pleasant and warm light. The interior of the lamp, when the lamp is on – seems to radiate the light – the walls of the lamp seem to be golden.

L U NA
Paper pulp lamp “Luna” refers with its color and shape to the Moon. Although the Moon seen from the Earth appears a very bright white, its surface is actually dark. The structure of the lamp – irregular and cracked – is filled with numerous “craters” – holes. When the light is turn on, the dormant “Luna” comes to life and light is spilling out of it. The light that spills out through the holes creates a diverse mosaic of shadow in the whole room. This lamp is made entirely from paper pulp obtained using only old newspapers.

PL U TO F LO O R L AMP
Belongs to the collection of two lamps which name refers to the name of the dwarf planet called Pluto. Its structure is changing while orbiting around the Sun and that fact become a source of inspiration for me to create two lamps. Pluto’s internal structure consists of dense core of rocks surrounded by a mantle of ice. Its orbit is elongated and when Pluto is closer to the Sun – the temperature increase causing the ices to sublimate into gas. The second version of the same “Pluto” lamp is an effect of the reverse phenomenon. As Pluto moves away from the Sun, its atmosphere gradually freeze out, and fall to the ground. That’s why I create a floor lamp, with the thick, solid layer of paper, much heavier than in the first one. This version of lamp refers also with its form to the Disney cartoon character called Pluto the Pup – the dog of Mickey Mouse.

“Terra”: paper pulp pendant lamp inspired by Jean Dubuffet ‘s “Matériologies” (1959–60), a serie of paintings which represents the apotheosis of soils. Just like those paintings, the surface of the lamp resembles a rugged terrain, very organic and irregular. RU MC JAS
The name of this paper pulp lamp comes from the title of the Czech cartoon called “Rumcajs”. In this cartoon famous during the 90'ies in Poland the main character wear a specific kind of hat which shape was a source of inspiration for me to create this lamp. The name of this paper pulp lamp comes from one of the main characters of the Czech cartoon called “Rumcajs”. FINGE RP RIN T
The name of this series – "fingerprint" refers to the diversity of wood grains, found in the Ash wood. As there are no two identical fingerprints, the design of the grain is also unique, and so are the Lamps. Lamps are without nails. Can be easily assembled and disassembled. You don’t need any tools to do it. Height is adjustable. This design is ecofriendly, we used only beeswax finish in this project. Bulb not included. Use led bulb.

S MALL S OL
The Lamp from the "Sol" series, viewed from above resembles a shape of a radiating sun. The light, which illuminates the wood reveals its structure, color and the woods grain, creating a warm sensation. When the Lamp is turned on, it throws radial shadows on the floor and its surroundings. This lamp is made from a few kinds of wood: birch-tree, ash, alder and lime. It is composed of seventeen pieces of wood. I chose various kinds of wood, because they have different colors and different wood pattern. The vertical pieces are attached to the base with screws. This design is ecofriendly, we used only beeswax finish in this project.

Just as the series of lamps “Globe” that refers to the shape of the planet, or “Calyx” series referring to the form of the calyx of the flower, series “Crystals” is recalling the forms of the nature. Each name of the lamp corresponds to the name of the crystal: diamond, amethyst, topaz ...In its creation I was inspired by various forms of crystals found in nature. Basing on the figure of the triangle I decided to create structures that differ in the number of sides. As a result of such a combination arose forms which as a base had the shape of pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon, etc. It appeared that by multiplexing number of identical triangles (or two types of triangles) and combining them with each other a harmonious and cohesive entity is created. The consistent and flat surface of the lamp “crystal” as a result causes the game of light and shadow, the game of strong contrasts. Lamp is in 100% recycled – created from paper pulp.
