2023 is here! We hope all our lovely readers kicked off the new year with a bang and are possibly still sticking to their New Year’s resolutions? No? Us neither! Just like last year, Scunthorpe Journal is bringing you the best offers from the local businesses and showcasing some feel-good stories for you to enjoy.

In this issue, we are celebrating some great local campaigns in the area doing brilliant things to help the community’s wellbeing. One being the ‘Ask for Angela’ initiative that allows people who feel unsafe, vulnerable or threatened to discreetly seek help by approaching venue staff and asking them for ‘Angela’. We also feature the great work happening over at Scunthorpe hospital to make those who are coming to the end of their life the best it can be.
