Modern mobile operating systems combine the features of a personal computer operating system with a touch screen, cellular, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS mobile navigation, camera, video camera, speech recognition, voice recorder, music player, near field communication, Infrared Blaster, and other features.

Android from Google: Android Basically Android was developed by a small startup company “Android Inc “that was purchased by a Search Giant company “Google Inc.” in 2005.
Google was announced the new version of Jelly bean 4.2 at NY in 29th oct. 2012. On 13th November 2012, Google announced one more new flavor of jelly bean version 4.2.1. Jelly Bean improves the speed and simplicity. In 11 Feb. 2013 one more version of jelly bean was introduced is 4.2.2 with amazing features.
Android was unveiled in 2007 along with the origin of the Open Handset Alliance: a group of hardware, software, and telecommunication companies dedicated to go forward open standards for mobile devices. The first Android-powered phone was sold in October 2008.

iOS from Apple iOS
iOS is a mobile operation system developed and spread by Apple Inc. Originally iOS released in 2007 for the iPhone and iPod Touch platforms, but it has been extended to support other Apple devices such as the iPad and Apple TV.
iOS Versions Apple released major updates to the iOS operating system about once a year over iTunes and also, since iOS version 5.0, over the air. The latest major update is iOS 6, generally announced on 11th June 2012 and released on September 12, 2012. Windows Phone is a series of proprietary mobile operating systems developed by Microsoft, and is the successor to its Windows Mobile platform, although incompatible with it.
On October 29, 2012, Microsoft released Windows Phone 8, a new generation of the operating system. Windows Phone 8 replaces its previously Windows CE-based architecture with one based on the Windows NT kernel with many components shared with Windows 8, allowing applications to be easily ported between the two platforms.
Work on a major Windows Mobile update may have begun as early as 2004 under the codename "Photon", but work moved gradually and the project was eventually cancelled. In 2008, Microsoft updated the Windows Mobile group and started work on a new mobile operating system.
