TAKE FIVE! A Weekly Feel-Good Podcast


BACKGROUND

Issues to Tackle Almost everyone is working from home during lockdown. Even when lockdown moves up through its levels, many of us will continue spending at least some of our time away from colleagues and clients. This is having a marked effect on morale.


PROBLEM STATEMENT. THE LONGER WE SPEND WORKING REMOTELY, THE MORE WE MISS OUR HUMAN CONNECTIONS. AT PRESENT THERE ARE NO ESTABLISHED CHANNELS FOR REGULAR ‘FEEL GOOD’ CONNECTIVITY FOR OUR PEOPLE.


OPPORTUNITIES

Make A Difference Rather than accept this growing divide, we intend to bridge it using the power of appreciative inquiry and digital storytelling. We can brand this content and make it available to all Liberty people, and then pay it forward to our clients, and to the broader South African public via social media. By making it a regular scheduled communication that people can look forward to and share, we will empower our ecosystem to reach out and positively touch people’s lives. Bringing us together, remotely.


PODCAST An audio podcast with a distinctive title, theme tune, musical bridges, a celebrity host and a regular running order of segments in a ‘magazine’ format.

PRODUCTION

Peers and managers from Liberty nominate their people and teams for Shout Outs.

Liberty Communications develop the content based on submissions received. We edit these submissions into podcast scripts.

Each segment runs around 60 seconds. [Times may vary as per content, but all will fit into fiveminutes total programme duration.]

Brent and his team will develop the theme tune, music stings, and bridges.

We deliver show script to studio on Thursday each week.

Studio recording and editing on Friday morning with packaged programme send to Liberty Communications that afternoon.


BROADCAST

FRIDAY P.M. The programme will go out as a WAV file by EOB Friday afternoons.


LIBRARY

STORAGE. We will store all programmes online for internal download and upload them to a dedicated YouTube Channel for public consumption.


MARKETING SOCIAL MEDIA We will produce a social media posting for Facebook and YouTube for each programme to go up on Thursday afternoon in anticipation of the Friday release.


IN SUMMARY A five-minute, fun and dynamic podcast, packed with feelgood stories that reinforce the positive behaviours of our Liberty Values. An innovative way to reach out and digitally connect with our communities. Thank you.
