It is an honor to provide a recommendation for Jim McAlister, professional videographer, and owner of Tell-A-Vision Productions. I had the privilege of working with Jim on a video created for the Salvation Army, of which I am a board member. Even though it was a busy time of year for him, Jim/Tell-A-Vision Productions did not hesitate to donate the time necessary to create an important video on a very short timeline for us. I personally experienced Jim’s tremendous talent as he interviewed several individuals. Every person that came to the room in which Jim was taping appeared nervous and stressed. Within moments however, Jim’s free and easy spirit and sense of humor put the room at ease and melted away any traces of anxiety. Jim clearly counseled each person with what they could expect. He did as many “takes” as were necessary to capture the essence of the story. He shared the video with the individuals interviewed to ensure they were comfortable with it. And, when the process took longer than anticipated, he rescheduled his afternoon to accommodate us. The video was collaborated between him and another videographer who requested to work with Jim, because Jim and Tel-A-Vision were and continue to be a strong mentor for them. The work done is ART.
