Page 1

Do you feel it’s too cold for your kids to go out during winters and play but you find it difficult to keep them indoors? Are you looking for the ways to make indoor time interesting for them? Even though winters come with a lot of fun, it brings cold and flu for children as they have a weak immune system and lack the ability to fight bacteria and viruses, effectively. Therefore, it is important for you to limit their outdoor play time and keep them inside. Most of the indoor activities are messy. If you keep your kids inside, you may end up burdening yourself with the cleaning task. Keeping the cleaning difficulty in mind, I have listed some sanitary indoor activities for you to try!

INDOOR OBSTACLE COURSE You don’t have to go out to have some fun in winters when you can make an obstacle course indoors. Especially when you are snowbound, you will enjoy this activity a lot because it keeps your kids busy for hours without making them bored. This activity isn’t just fun, it helps kids in being active as it burns a lot of calories.

INDOOR ART Bring some removable paints prior to snowfall and keep them somewhere. Take them out when you want your kids to stay indoors. Let them paint windows any way they like, without worrying about cleaning. Its fun but only when you buy removable paint. So, be careful while shopping, otherwise it will go the other way around.

SILLY PUTTY The colorful silly putty is so alluring and fun. Try different colors to make it attractive. Once you allow your kids to make them, they will remain busy for hours, and the best part is, it doesn’t create a mess at all. Once done, arrange them somewhere to show or put them in bottles. They look great!

TRY A STORY If your child is good at reading, writing, and imagination, you can try writing an interesting story with him. To add some fun, both of you try one word and see where your imagination takes you. Write the words every time you say one, arrange them in sentences, and make a story. Your kids would love spending time with you and it will increase their interest in the home, too.

PLAY CHESS You are thinking your kids are too young to play chess, right? Well, believe it or not, there is no right age to play a game. Playing chess increases the ability to make skillful decisions such as deciding earlier and planning things effectively. Let them explore things on their own and see how they thrive!

TO CONCLUDE These are some of the activities you may try indoors that surely won’t bore your kids. If they are persistent in going out, you can take them to shade structures where cold won’t affect them as much as an open playground. Remember, it is important to be both adventurous and safe at a time. So, be a smart parent and try these activities!
