10:00 - 10:30 a.m. ENGLISH SELF-PLACEMENT ....................................I.G. Greer Auditorium Composition faculty will meet with all new students, describe the Composition Program, and explain students’ options in completing their first-year English writing requirement. Students complete activities that will help them to make informed decisions regarding which composition course is best for them. This session is required for all new students who do not have credit for ENG 1000. 10:45 - 2:30 p.m. ACADEMIC PLANNING...............Same Location as Small Group Advising (see inside flap) Your small group meets to discuss the policies and procedures for academic planning. You will also meet individually with your advisor to receive the results of your placement tests so that you can select the appropriate courses for your first semester. 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. INFORMATION EXCHANGE...........................Student Union, 1st Floor Your SOUL will take you to get information from campus offices, and ask those last minute questions of representativies from the following offices.
