GROUP FITNESS

The Castle Rock Recreation Center and Miller Activity Complex offer a variety of fitness classes throughout the week. Group Fitness Classes are included in your guest pass, multi-visit pass, or membership.

YOGA

INNER CONNECTIONS YOGA & WELLNESS, ROCK SALT THERAPY & COMMUNITEA

The following classes are taught at Inner Connections Yoga & Wellness, Rock Salt Therapy & CommuniTea, 821 N. Park Street, Castle Rock.

A four-visit pass may be purchased through the Recreation Center for $72 ($68 resident). Please bring your receipt with you on your first visit. Purchases may be used for one class per week and must be used within 30 days from the date of the first studio visit.

VIRTUAL FITNESS

All of our group fitness classes are available right at home with our virtual class options. Pay admission and register online. Admission is free with an active membership.

ACTIVE AND AGING

SILVERSNEAKERS® FITNESS PROGRAM

The Castle Rock Recreation Center has a wide offering of active senior classes, all of which are open to all patrons and are included in the facility admission fee.

The Recreation Center and Miller Activity Complex are members of the SilverSneakers®, Silver&Fit and Renew Active network of fitness facilities. Check with either front desk to determine if your health coverage provider participates in any of these programs. Classes include SilverSneakers® Classic, Cardiofit and Circuit.

PREMIUM FITNESS PROGRAMS

Group Fitness classes are included in admission; the following classes constitute an extra fee and run year-round.

MARTIAL ARTS

T’AI CHI AND CHI GUNG (INTRODUCTORY CLASS)

Daytime T’ai Chi on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:45–11:45 a.m. is located at 4807 N. Industrial Way within Danza Dance Academy. All new daytime students please contact Roger Newell at 303-549-1377 three days prior to class. Evening T’ai Chi on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30–8:30 p.m. is located at the Recreation Center.

T’AI CHI CH’ÜAN (ADVANCED CLASS)

This advanced class runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8–9 p.m. Participants must have completed the introductory class.

ATA TAEKWONDO

Taekwondo is a Korean martial art focusing on kicking and striking. Train in forms, sparring, self-defense and some traditional weapons (safely padded).

This class runs weekly on either Monday and Wednesday from 5:30–6:30 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 7–8 p.m. or for Brown Belts and above on Saturday from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

PREMIUM CLASSES

FIT MOMS

For both moms and dads, Functional Interval Training is a workout for your entire body. This class will help you lose weight, tone muscles and boost your endurance. All children are welcome, whether in strollers or playing nearby on the indoor turf.

Seven weeks of burning fat and increasing strength and endurance.

OUTDOOR FITNESS

FITGROUND ADULT OUTDOOR FITNESS COURSE

The group fitness class schedule now includes classes at both the new FitGround Course and the Functional Fitness Area in the MAC. Full fitness schedule available at CRgov.com/Fitness Check in with the MAC Front Desk to participate.
