Taking lemons and turning them into lemonade is fine and all, but in 2009 when Jenne & Adam Wicht started the independent rep group jak.w during the most severe economic crisis since the Great Depression, these two took lemons and used them as a garnish for their sustainably raised oysters and caviar. Such fortitude is demonstrated today in the manufactures jak.w represents and the service they provide. If you don’t know contemporary design, you don’t know jak! Like single notes that combine to create a melody, jak.w has hand picked a collaborative and eclectic mix of the best manufacturers to emulate their philosophy that’s rooted in authenticity, eco-consciousness, and beautiful design. Straddling the fence post between commercial and residential, each manufacture offers contract-grade durability for the office with style and comfort that was once-upon-a-time only afforded to the home. The goal has never been to simply push product, jak.w’s passions lie in developing relationships, supporting an incredible community of designers and design enthusiasts, and truly working to preserve the greater good for everyone...Mother Earth. These passions and practices have made jak.w the first stop for all things contemporary as well as an example of how enjoyable and seemingly effortless work can be when you’re doing it with proper consideration and the right partnership.

An archetype with a twist: this chair’s seat, from Bertjan Pot, is made of 3D-formed, wafer-thin veneer. The elegant and comfortable seat is supported by an aluminium tubular frame, with the material combination making the chair extremely light. The Buzz is flexible: easy to move, stackable and can be used either around the dining table or in a conference hall. In short, this chair has everything needed to become an Arco classic!

kasthal
If they were not the very best in utilizing environmentally friendly, sustainable products to create the finest rugs and carpets, Kasthall would have been forced to close their doors well before their 125th birthday that was celebrated in 2015. The love story of each Kasthall piece begins in two places simultaneously: the fields of southern France where the finest linen is naturally grown and retted without chemicals before they are sent to Sweden to become the weft; and New Zealand where Kasthall has partnered with the most humane sheep herders in all the land for the finest white wools that never see any chemical or bleach treatments before being sent to Sweden for a die job and weave. The utmost attention to detail, unique designs and unwavering brilliance is what continues to maintain Kasthall as the world’s #1 rug producer.

(an·cil·lar·y)
it all began in 1889
When electricity was first introduced, the entrepreneur and designer Ludvig Anderson established a business called Kasthall in the small town of Kinna in the west of Sweden. It was the first industrial rug factory in the country. In a few years, the factory was manufacturing rugs and curtains. Word began to spread about the factory’s products: original rugs that were beautiful, durable and a pleasure to walk on.

o&g studio
Bringing classic country design to the contract market, O&G Studio is setting the bar in hand-crafted renaissance for today's retail and hospitality needs. Locally sourcing ash, maple and walnut from sustainable forests located nearby their Rhode Island workshop, O&G Studio begins every project the same way it is finished, with their own bare hands. But their ingenuity doesn't stop there, as a workshop they have also developed more vibrant, durable and environmentally friendly stains than what were thought to be possible, in addition to a personal line of textiles to be utilized with any and all of their chairs, stools or settees. A contemporary twist on a New England design that is nothing less than ALL AMERICAN.
