MAP
SM
• Offers unmatched flexibility in sire selection, specially tailored to your operation. Increases the herd life/longevity of your herd • Puts you in control of developing your herd’s goals • Manages and restricts inbreeding to a maximum of 6.25%, meaning no member of a three-generation pedigree is duplicated in the mating, while also controlling lethal recessives • Helps in sorting through sire summary information overload • Provides a complete genotypic evaluation on each animal scored SM
• Emphasizes a worst fault for maximum genetic progress • Assists in controlling semen inventory

Programs
G-MAP
SM
The Genomic MAP (G-MAP ) program determines the best mating option for a cow or heifer based on genomic PTAs (GPTAs) rather than phenotypic scores, performance or predicted information such as parent averages or pedigree indexes. SM
The G-MAP program is available to any dairy producer who has genomic test results (3L or 50K) on cows and/or heifers. Simply provide the GPTAs to your GENEX representative to be incorporated into the program. SM
Mating recommendations can be provided for any individual, group or whole herd of genomic-tested animals. Mating recommendations from the G-MAP program are included on the same report as non‑genomic tested animals mated through the traditional MAP program. On the report, animals mated through the G-MAP program are signified by a “G” or the word “Genomic” near their identification. SM

BOLT
SM
The BOLT mating program provides dairy producers with a list of bulls NOT to use for breeding based on an inbreeding limitation. The program removes the worry of increasing inbreeding within the herd. SM
The program’s report notes any bull(s) that would result in an inbreeding level greater than 2.125% if mated to a specific cow. If all bulls in the mating program result in inbreeding levels below that threshold, the report indicates that, for the specific cow, all bulls are safe from excess inbreeding. When using the BOLT program, animals can be divided into groups to apply specific breeding strategies and each group can be mated to different sires accordingly. The mating recommendations are easily imported into dairy management software. SM
For the program to be applied effectively, the pedigree information (sire, maternal grandsire, etc.) is required. The BOLT program provides the convenience of creating negative mating for an individual or whole herd (by pen, lactation and/or cohort groups) as long as pedigree information is available. SM
The program scans each cow’s pedigree to find close relationships between the cow and your listing of mating sires and then reports which bulls NOT to use in order to limit inbreeding.

MPG
SM
MPG
Plan the genetic future of your herd from the comfort of your own home.
Use the MPG program to: SM
• Build customized proposals for customers • Search bulls by short name, NAAB code or registration number • Compare up to four bulls side-by-side • Sort bulls industry-wide by specific traits

Maximizing Profits through Genetics
Sort-Gate
SM
The Sort-Gate program provides producers with the information needed on dairy cows and heifers to make strategic breeding decisions. It helps producers sort dairy females and ultimately define which females are appropriate for different breeding strategies (GenChoice™ sexed semen, beef semen, conventional semen). SM
This program is customizable, enabling dairy producers to determine which genetic values to use when sorting females – Lifetime Net Merit (LNM$) or a custom index. The Sort-Gate program incorporates pedigree information and genomic data and can add on-farm performance records! SM
STEP-BY-STEP STRATEGIC BREEDING 1. CONSIDER YOUR DAIRY’S GOALS for the future and the number of replacement calves needed to meet those goals. 2. USE THE CALF MATH PROGRAM to compare potential breeding strategy outcomes and determine the most effective combination of semen products. SM
3. USE THE SORT-GATE PROGRAM to sort cows and heifers and define which females are appropriate for each semen product. SM
4. DEVELOP PROTOCOLS for mating and breeding to get the preferred semen product into the designated cows and heifers.
7
Calf Math
Programs
SM
The Calf Math program is a simple, financial spreadsheet to help producers get more profit from every calf. The program helps producers decide how to use the various semen product options to achieve herd goals and maximize herd profits. SM

DG•Blue Eyes® Rapid Visual Bovine Pregnancy Test
DG•Blue Eyes® is a bovine ELISA pregnancy test kit that can be used by the producer directly on the operation without special equipment. The DG•Blue Eyes® blood pregnancy test improves reproductive performance of cattle by allowing for a quicker identification of open (e.g. non-pregnant) cows and heifers. When the DG•Blue Eyes® test result is negative (open animal) the producer can quickly take the necessary measures to rebreed the animal. The DG•Blue Eyes® pregnancy test helps decrease open days and increase revenue. The DG•Blue Eyes® test detects the presence or absence of a protein marker of bovine pregnancy in the blood. Analysis is performed with blood samples collected from 28 days post-breeding up until parturition. Process Flow Taking blood sample Pipette the blood sample into the reaction wells Add drops of solutions
Advantages of DG•Blue Eyes®: • Visual test results in 30 minutes
Color changes in the reaction wells
• High accuracy, ≥98% compared to DG29® pregnancy test • No special equipment needed, test can be done on site
Visual results in 30 minutes
This is a great tool to efficiently help producers identify open animals after breeding and increase cost savings by minimizing the days open with accurate results.
DG29™ and DG•Lait/Milk® Pregnancy Tests DG29™ and DG•Lait/Milk® are easy-to-use blood and milk pregnancy tests. Blood or milk samples are drawn from cattle, sheep or goats on the farm or ranch, forwarded to a certified laboratory, and pregnancy diagnosis is determined by the presence of a pregnancy protein marker. Results are returned to the farm quickly and accurately.
